My breakfast is usually around noon when I finally wake up. My friends call it brunch.

Today I had hot chocolate and stuffed french toast (my son's request). I love breakfast foods! I will even eat them for dinner from time to time.

when I was a kid, we used to do pancakes for supper.. and I still do that from time to time.. as well as mac n cheese for breakfast...

Then there's the roadie staple of cold pizza for breakfast.. (I do NOT miss that)

Growing up I rarely had traditional breakfast food, just as long as I ate food.. my mother was happy. Hot dogs, soup and hamburgers were common breakfasts before I went off to school.

There was never ever the push to finish my plate either and I always felt so sorry for kids forced into eating too much food.

I never got the emphasis on certain foods only being for certain meals.

Greedy, I imagine so. I've never had that experience so it's alllll good. I really cannot imagine living like that. I'm rather attached to my little farmette on the hill.

As with most of my life, 362 days a year (have to have a few days away from home on occasion), when I wake up, I am faced with my own kitchen and what to dig out.

I don't do breakfast.  It disagrees with the drugs I have to take.  So I'm stuck waiting for lunch.

Ive found that my handful of meds i have to take do fill me up. So breakfast isnt that necessary, never been a morning person anyway.

Breakfast?  Bleh.  My stomach does NOT accept food in the morning, never has.  I can gag down a coffee and my meds, and have to wait a few hours or I am really sorry.  Sugar is what goes down well--cake, pastry, that kind of thing.  I have avoided dago diabetes so far, and I will be deeply emo when/if I develop it.

I adore breakfast foods (waffles!) but can eat them for any meal.  I've been up a few hours now, and am ready for a snack, since dinner will be early...  We have lots of food in the house, but thankfully no leftovers.  I think there is some yogurt, might have yogurt and cereal.  There are no doughnuts....we did have doughnuts last week, though!

A weird concoction I made up that includes Kashi's pilaf, black beans, a little bit of left over beef taco meat...........warmed and topped with salsa. Then later on this afternoon, a fresh peach I picked last night.
