what's breakfast?

usually the first meal of the day for most people however in my case, it's the last meal for me when i come home from a show

Hell, why are you cooking after a show?  Hit the White Palace on Roosevelt, or Kevin's on 39th and Wallace...  Both have great take out, and server everything on the menu 24/7 (well at least they did while I was still living there).

Just sayin,
Thadius

who said i was cooking at 3a?

i like hanging out at the Hollywood Grill (North and Ashland) for their pork chops and egg special.

when I was a kid, we used to do pancakes for supper.. and I still do that from time to time.. as well as mac n cheese for breakfast...

Then there's the roadie staple of cold pizza for breakfast.. (I do NOT miss that)

i had that for "breakfast" yesterday - cold pepperoni/sausage and cheese pizza

Cold pizza for breakfast is the BEST!!!

i am even late for brunch or lunch, but i ate 2 poached eggs (probably because i had conversation earlier today on the perfect poached egg, 1/2 of a toasted onion bagel, steamed cauliflower with a dollop of green onion/chives cream cheese and about 10 red grapes...my one and only meal with my wacky work hours. oh coffee and coffee.

lately it's been tuna salad or chicken salad after the coffee wears off, around 930 or 10.  I generally can't eat any earlier than that, and if I do, I just get hungry at 10 anyway.

I rarely eat breakfast.  Usually it's a latte, hot or iced (preferably).

Breakfast is usually a senior coffee and Egg McMuffin.  i like the Canadian bacon on it....and the egg and cheese.
i go to McDonalds and visit with some of the other retired folks who eat there regularly.  The employees know me by name.
i also do the crossword puzzle and Sudoku.

Crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, grits, toast, orange juice and coffee.

I love breakfast at any time of the day or night, but mostly I love it for breakfast!

Some days it's Biscuits smothered in sausage gravy.  Some days it's pancakes and sausage patties.  Some days it might just be a bowl of cereal or oatmeal or grits.  Just depends on my food mood.

coffee and toast.  simple and difficult to screw up, especially since i'm not making it, the boys are.  being planted on the living room sofa has it's pain in the butt moments.  at least it's not hospital food!

2 eggs butter fried in a cast iron skillet, fresh ground pepper and fresh ground sea salt with garlic.  1 piece of toast.  Plus some Dexibion (5000 mgs liquid injectable B-12) mixed with juice and my normal vitamins.  I been hung over a little bit lately because I don't normally drink so I needed a clinical dose of B-12.
