It seems as if most male subs are in positions of power. There is an increasing number of women in these positions( lawyer, doctor, exec etc). My question is : are these powerful professional women subs in private?

lizcgirl -> RE: What kind of jobs do subs have? (8/18/2008 7:05:00 PM)

I've worked since I was 13, if I listed them it all it would take a LONGGG time. Briefly:
- waitress
- sales clerk
- day care teacher
- nanny
- customer service rep with speciality in insurance claims
But the one I have the most experience in is actually management. I'm not submissive on the job at all. [;)]

MercTech -> RE: What kind of jobs do subs have? (8/19/2008 11:58:35 AM)

Currently, I'm a nuclear rent-a-tech... humorous take on my work is at http://home.earthlink.net/~sjerkins/HP.htm

Past jobs over the many moons....
Short Order Cook
Electronics Salesman
Computer Repair Technician
Sailor USN: MM1(SS)/ELT .. if you know how to decipher that.
Radio Shack Asst. Manager
Bouncer in a titty bar
Field Engineer for an Industrial Food Processing Machinery Company  (I think I saw every chicken plant in the country and most of the beef processing plants)
Radiological Supervisor for a reactor demolition project
MARRSIM test engineer. (don't ask unless you want a convoluted technical explanation.., it deals with returning industrial sites to "greenfields" conditions)
Photographer at Busch Gardens Olde Country.. ( I was in Germany and had to wear faux lederhosen)
Writer... past columns in computer mags and one short lived food column called "The 30 Minute Gourmet" to actually teach terminal geeks how to cook for themselves.

Looking at that divergent resume, I guess I'm a renaissance attitude in a corporate antfarm world.

I think that people... no matter what their inclinations... (submissive/dominant) are as diverse in their career choices as they are in life in general.  The previous posts seem to support this theory.

As for me,  I have re-invented myself many times over my many years of living. Sometimes my change of careers was of my own volition. Other times, the change has been thrust upon me by circumstance. (layoffs)

Here is my list of occupations.
Television Broadcasting  (production and engineering)
Aviation electronics (radios/radar, etc)
Photographer (still)
Microfilm equipment service representative.
Copier/duplicator service engineer.
Call taker for laptop computer warranty service at a major computer manufacturer.
Video Producer making training video materials for that same major computer manufacturer.
Self Employed as a video producer with my own (one man) company
and,  (coming full circle)
Television Broadcasting (engineering and production)
