housecleaner
Professor's Assistant
tutor
artist
teacher
childcare provider
Administrative Secretary
model
soft line zoner
student
inventory specialist
volunteer
ditch digger
landscaper
dog trainer
astrologer

small livestock boarding & care
driver
erotic dancer
woodcutter/broker
hostess
mercy killer
decorator
costume design & construction
gardener

most were "jobs" that gave some sort of monetary compensation in exchange...and some weren't.

currently, this slave has ONE job, and it isn't "work", it is a labor of love and devotion---pleasing Master.

camille65 -> RE: What kind of jobs do subs have? (8/7/2008 10:14:23 AM)

I worked for over a decade in a bookstore, quite honestly the most fun and rewarding job I've ever had. Of course I didn't bring home a lot of money because it all got turned around into books heh. It was the kind of job where I woke up all excited to go to work and smiled all day long because I was just plain happy to be there. I was good at it and more importantly I knew I was good at it.

There were times I'd been an office manager, tried a factory job (which was actually kind of cool), ran a machine in a print shop (also kind of cool but very messy) and a handful of other types but working in a bookstore felt like the place I was supposed to be.

Oh I loved that job.
Damn this useless body for costing me that job too. (Grumble grumble)

fluffyswitch -> RE: What kind of jobs do subs have? (8/7/2008 10:16:17 AM)

At the moment, I'm a temp in accounts.  I've done pretty much every secretarial and administrative job under the sun.  The best are when you're surrounded by decent people, or presented with a challenge.  Like working in the NHS, that was fun, and the law firms are fun.  Sticker sticking on medical records is less fun, but had good people about.

I loathe reception work, especially in garages where there are customers and staff who all think it's fine to abuse you.  As a temp, I called my agency and refused to go back to that job.

I've also been a teacher.

well, i'm as self-employed entreprenueer just as many of the dominants, so i would say, they have the kind of jobs they want, are educated to take, that fit into the hours, days, etc., that they are willing or can work, and that will hopefully pay the bills, and leave it at that.
