Throw all caution to the wind and find the most extreme person you can....nope, you don't have to know anything about them. Make sure you jump right in there with both feet and do things that most folks would consider insane. See, that's what proves how "real" you are. Those "other" people....the pussies...well we all know they're lesser...chicken shits that they are.

Added bonus, if you're on the Top end of the spectrum and you are an Uber....you will have a flock of google eyed starlets following you around like panting and drooling puppy dogs. After all, you're their validation...their "proof" of just how "real" they are.

Instead of quietly just doing what you do...and being who you are...you need the whole world to know. You need to use derogatory, demeaning and condescending words to make everyone else know how much better you are, how much more extreme, how much more "real".

The cock strutting and grandstanding is comical to watch. It's quite a grand show. Unfortunately though there is a sad aspect to it too. Some people come here looking for information and answers. I'm sure that a lot of them see the show and walk away thinking they just don't make the cut.

Darcy believes I am uber great for him - so what does it matter if others do or don't. Sure it's a great ego boost, but really all this - 'oh people must be so unhappy in their own lives and if they weren't we could all sing kumbaya' and 'see where you are compared to me in the future' kinda shit is just passive aggressive uberism in it's own right. How very dull.

I think there are "levels" of play. I think most people would agree that a single tail is more extreme than a clothespin, and so of a higher "level".

Will you laugh at me as I try to figure out how to get up there on my own?

I feel that those that feel that need to make sure everyone knows how uber they are have allot of insecurities about themselves and feel the need to one up everyone. I don't know when people will figure out we all have different preferences, thresholds, fetishes etc and it doesn't matter what Joe blow is doing, it just matters what you find satisfaction in.

I've learned so much from here. And I've ignored so much here too, including much of the "cock strutting".

Many of us have the ability to be selective and critical in our reading; not to be distressed or frustrated by silly comment; to see a different perspective and learn from it. Others (whose intellect I view with contempt) are driven noisily to shout down an alternative view or to dispute with one whose mind is clearly closed.

For the selective the stupidity is not a problem, but I think your point is good - new arrivals can be put off and walk away when patience, or filtering, would let them see the good side of CM. Self regulation by the idiots will not happen and the solution of having the mods police the boards and censor more ruthlessly than they do now, is not attractive.

Although I'd love to see more of XI - she rocks

It was because of my age mostly- they thought someone that age couldn't possibly SERIOUSLY understand, desire and maturely be responsible for the types of dynamics and kinks I happened to be into. So instead I must have just heard about it online and tacked it on to "sound cooler" and try to gain cool points.

It usually came right after the "you need to crawl before you run" and right before the "you're going to end up dead in a ditch somewhere by the time you're 25"

Now that I've gained some years, it's harder for people to just tell me I don't understand. I'm into the same stuff, doing it the same way..

Hey Mist like your Post and I think you have a pretty healthy perspective on things. Now that being said I have to agree with some of the posters here. Sure more extreme people with call other pussies etc. Sure some people here on the forums are incredibly arrogant and toss all social graces out the window.

Since it would seem some love to label others on these forums let me share a few more Keyboard commandos, Internet tough guys, E-peens and Web Warriors. Being I am pretty young I have grown up in the computer generation. I have been involved in plenty of online communities if you like and one thing remains constant. When there is anonymity due to I-net handles and no chance for real recourse you see a lot of “true colors”.
The funny thing is all these computer hard asses would not dare be so bold in the physical presence of the ones they so courageously insult from behind a keyboard.

With over 6 billion people on the planet and no 2 of them exactly alike those less open and less capable of perception with any kind of depth need labels and little boxes to pile others into.

As for those who have to post as the hardest guy around. Those are the same people who often mistake kindness for weakness when in fact those in a position of power who display kindness show their inner confidence and humility.
