I like Pat Buchanan's foreign policy. He's nutty on immigration though. On the domestic side, he's probably just a mainstream Republican.

I don't think she will do much to boost McCain's ticket. If this history of hers is accurate, it means she will have trouble connecting with swing voters.

Hardly a lefty and hardly in panic mode,my guy didn't just go off the board to pluck an obscure and untested running-mate....See all of you in Washington in Jan.to hear Obama's inaugural...

Nope, he is the obscure and untested candidate on his ticket, he couldn't risk adding more questions about experience to it.

What are his qualifications besides running for office?

Women, in general, are kick ass multitaskers.  Add "mom" into the mix and we become far superior to men in terms of output and organization under stress.  [:)]

Let me ask hot-thing,since you`re a breeder and "been there".

Should a mom who had a child 3 months ago,be running for VP?

One of those concerns won`t get all the attention it needs.Maybe both won`t.

Yes or no?

Listen, read decide....we have watched and listened for 18 months,if you are unconvinced of the man's qualifications, nothing i said would matter.

This evasion, not answer.

On what basis is Senator Obama "ready" to be President?

Why won't you answer?  Why won't any of Obama's supporters answer?

Is the question really so hard?

Mike,

I know you to be an intellectually honest person from our talks.  Half of the Dem Party has been asking that same question, and even asked it up til the nomination.  Are you suggesting then that by receiving his party's nomination, he has answered the question of what qualifies him to be president?  IF that is so, then let's go to the apples and apples comparison, Biden finished dead last as a nominee in that same process, and dropped out almost immediately, too, it is not the first time he has not been able to secure the nomination of the Dem party.  Does that then suggest that Biden is not qualified?  Or should the top of a ticket be allowed to choose the bottom of the ticket?

I also noticed you decided to miss my post about why Palin is more qualified in terms of experience to be on the ticket.  Does Obama have any experience that qualifies him for the job?  Or is does it come back to the "he gives a pretty speech" argument?

Let me understand this,I should justify and explain why the Democratic party has nominated and put forth Obama has it's nominee.Or is it my personal preference I must defend?

Oh silly me.  How could I have forgotten that women become mindless ninnies after giving birth?  I must still be in that ninny stage.

That is a reasonable question. The same question that could have been asked about our current president.

The last 8 years have, to my eyes. been a disaster. I wish there were better choices. Since there are not I am left with a bright idealist, or an old party hack.

This is not the same  John McCain who ran in 2000. That guy I could have voted for. This  one, I can't.

Jeff

You don't go into the voting booth with the candidates you want. You go with the candidates you have....:)

Why not just answer the questions?  This is a public discussion forum, not the Holy Inquisition.

Perhaps I should ask a different question:  Why are Obama's disciples so unwilling to recite the litany of his good works?

Oh well, if you put it in such a charming way, I'm sure dozens of people will QUEUE to answer your question [:D] .

sophia37 -> RE: MoveOns Take on Palin (8/30/2008 7:24:05 PM)

Fine lets have Ms Palin as vice presdident She'll have a steep learning curve, a heart attack when she realizes what shes got herself into and then she'll be President when MCcain drops dead. Sounds like she'll be the best President ever! Im not voting for McCain. Im voting for Palin! lol

No other justification other than having been awake these past 8 years under mcbushie is necessary to lead a prudent man to try a different tack.

You're right, the way they've been going on, you'd think she was the one running for candidate. It's true that she's a much more attractive proposition than her lord and master (at the very least, she has the benefit of age. And of not having left her first spouse for an undamaged model.). I wonder why she wasn't nominated presidential candidate... After all, she has the experience to be president. Right [8D] ?

THAT'S your explanation of why you refuse to ennumerate Obama's qualifications?

Owner59 -> RE: MoveOns Take on Palin (8/30/2008 7:46:45 PM)

Iv`e  heard on this board, the Palin`s investigation into her abuse of power is ending shortly, like 3 weeks.

I just read it doesn`t end till the end of Oct.

That`s basically the whole campaign.

http://www.ktva.com/ci_10339580

"Senator French has made assurances that Branchflower is working hard, interviewing people and that with his contract ending on October 31st, we should have a conclusion near that time for the investigation.

The investigation could conclude only four days prior to the general election for the next president and vice president of the United States."

Can someone square this?

Biden is so prone to sticking his foot in his mouth that I fully expect him to say something at least that stupid during the debates.

Let me put it to you this way CL,and this is a line I have used before, but one I firmly believe. If the Democrats had nominated Mickey Mouse who was wearing Minnie Mouse's dress....I would be voting for Mickey. It is not so much that I am a die hard Democrat, but more that I am a centrist and after 8 years of being pulled to the right...this country needs a tug to the left...just to catch a glimpse of the center..
