Good idea Ron - blame it on the Republicans.

Crafty.

Well, I think it is because they have lifted the Republican playbook.

notice I didn't say conservative (since they are such a rare breed)

At least he didn't blame Bush..this time..

NumberSix -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 7:37:20 AM)

Well, whats a feller to do?

Here is this adversarial piece....Top democrat?  'former' (and I suspect for stupidity)
Doesn't quite happen like it has been portrayed.
No established pattern in the mainline of this, everyone figures he's a fuckwad (both sides)

and the great reasoned debaters come out here and go, Look!!!! there goes one, therefore; ALL are...........  kinda like they do science.

Actually, I blame it on Carter not speaking at the convention.

But thanks for the thumbs up, Sanity.

Ron

This sly feller, he thinks a lot like you do. It wasn't HIS fault...

"One doesn't anticipate that one's private conversation will be surreptitiously taped by some right-wing nutcase," said Fowler. "But that's the nature of what we're dealing with."

kittinSol -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 8:03:14 AM)

Soundbites politics is the nature of what we're dealing with. Incidentally, Gustav's gone down in grade to a category 2. Damage will be done, but hopefully it won't be nearly as bad as was originally thought. How about you concentrate on that, instead :-) ?

Sanity -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 8:18:32 AM)

Oh, kitten, your newfound concern for the current state of American politics is heart warming! It really is! [sm=lol.gif]

I'm touched. Really I am. Yes, let us join hands and go skipping through fields of daisies together, singing like children of the joys of our lovely new nonpartisan ways!

NumberSix -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 8:24:06 AM)

Well, the good news is that Gustav is pretty much off the table, and since the delegates families are in minnesota anyway, the bachhanalian feast of ideology can continue.

Who knows, now that they have personally averted the threat, Dick and Lame can come to the party.

kittinSol -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 8:25:32 AM)

Ah, Sanity, even you must realise there is an abyss of difference between expressing one's personal opinion, and gossiping over what somebody said about something that was reported by someone else :-) .

Sanity -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 8:31:44 AM)

Oh, I see - there's a difference...

If it's "gossipy" hatred, then it's bad. Bad American politics...

If it's your opinion hatred, then anything goes, anything is fair game. Pull out all the stops, there is nothing that can't be said.

These are such intricate rules to this new game of yours! Does it take a long time to learn them?

One other question - since there is are video recordings of both Fowler and Michael Moore effectively saying "there is a god" while another hurricane is on track to hit New Orleans, how do you figure that it's "gossip" in this funny little game of yours?

How does that work, exactly?

New game, new rules...

Sounds like it could be fun!

Sanity -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 8:52:35 AM)

Okay, fine.

No fun aloud...

If you want to have more "fun" derailing threads, please spend more time in the Random Stupidity forum, where it is allowed.  If you want to engage in further petty sniping and baiting, I'm afraid you'll have to find another site on which to do that.

*wondering when a hurricanes strength became a POLITICAL thing??*

whatever happened to natures course......???//

kittinSol -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 9:42:06 AM)

Thing is, Toppy, everything's political, from the way we shop for groceries to the election of the highest office in the land. So a large thing like a storm... during election time... in New Orleans... well, it gets pounced on, to milk it for all it's worth.

NumberSix -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 9:44:26 AM)

This is an election year, GT!!!

Don't bring up that stupid fucking 'the world may be larger than all of us' rhetoric again.

Either your for us, or agin us!!!!!

LOL.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: Top Democrat caught on tape laughing about hurricane (9/1/2008 9:52:47 AM)

Watched the video, it appears he was laughing at the republicans bad luck, that's all. He said zero nothing wrong there. Sorry. I'll tell you people on both sides in this election just looking for crap makes both sides look like crap. You know it's like laughing at willy coyote(Republicans), not catching a break. He's not laughing at the hurricane victims.

Geeeshhhh, I think some peoples parents need to get a nanny blocker on there playtime laptops, because this kind of NON-STORY, is completely NOTHING. IT DEMONSTRATES NOTHING ABOUT HIS CHARACTER, OR ANYTHING. It's garbage. He's laughing about the republicans bad luck. OH THE HORROR, HE'S THE DEVIL.

Wow, people just look for things to get pissy about.
