Celeste,

Thank you for an open an honest answer.  As I said in the other thread, I appreciate the way you have approached looking at and weighing the issues and the candidates.

I tire of the soundbite politics that folks keep throwing around, and that can be seen in this thread and many others.  My goal as stated many times is to make folks educate themselves on the facts and backgrounds of all the people running, and then make an informed decision.

How many people that have participated in this thread do you think could name, a piece of legislation that any of the involved candidates has written, voted for, against, or anything specific about what they have done in their chosen careers?

I do agree, the question I asked here was a modified one, hoping that it opened it up to be answered.

If Palin becomes President, I might consider moving to Canada. 
I will need KittnSol to help teach me French.

You said that the piece on Palin was a pertinent list of her shortcomings to hold office... now you've tried to claim it was actually a biographical piece.   Then you trotted out the Daily Kos trash piece and announced 'fair game' on the offspring...

I'm not inferring or implying anything, I'm calling BS, it was political mudslinging, plain and simple.

And as others have pointed out, this may be great good fun for some, but there is something wrong with supporting any side with deliberate mudslinging.

Wow...k. Last time. The piece is pertinent to the discussion re: her shortcomings. The one sentence that mentioned her children is not. To me anyway, obviously you clung to it.

Yes, she is fair game, politics is dirty, and you are no stranger to mudslinging and certainly not a stranger to baiting. You know exactly what you do, and I have to say, thankfully, so do most people that engage with you, whether by choice or not.  You are most assuredly *not* worth a mod spanking though, so peace out.

Did you read it?

It was a post on a forum, with a faked link to its supposed source, that turned out to not contain those words at all... it was someone's partisan opinion, not a biography of any sort, and it was just one of many 'innocent' mentions of Palin's family since her selection.

If being skeptical and calling BS is 'insulting people' to you, you are in for a rocky ride... feel free to make yourself be insulted as much as you want though.

I do, in common usage they are both taken to mean 'to suggest'.

I grabbed up a dictionary, and been like that since the early 1500s.

To be sure, it is more correct to suppose that you (for example) would imply something and I might infer something as a result. So, they are opposite sides of the same coin, really.

Now you are just resorting to outright lying... I do not engage in this sort of partisan mudslinging, and have in fact been critical of it from anyone who employs it, and you know that. Pretty sad of you to have to stoop so low as to make that up.

AL-Aynne actually re-posted the original link, as I recall, and apologized for the confusion.

Even if someone presents verified information in a piece of writing in a non-partisan way, you as the reader immediately interpret it based on your own value system.  The link i clicked on-the corrected link, not the first incorrect one-told me a lot of things i'd like to investigate regarding a candidate i know the least about. 

And truly AL, you being skeptical and calling BS is your prerogative. I am not insulted by your posts. In large part, I'm confused about why you are so invested in 'beating a dead horse', as it were.  Your 'calling out' of other people is really just you throwing your same opinion out over and over, without ever presenting new information. 

Of course, you may decide to reply to my response here, but unless there is new information being presented, i promise this will be the last you read from me on this thread.

i wasn't referring to your opinion on the candidates, AL, i was referring to your ill words toward other people posting in this thread.
