Glad born-again Christians inspire you so. Do you see any irony in your own concern over Islamic Fundamentalists?

Not one single bit, Clouds.  Not even a nice try.

It seems you have the same problem as Bush.

at the radio station, it's a toss between VP Sally Fields or VP Snow Bunny

we're huge Obama supporters

In two words?

"Eye contact".

Watching the vid, I noticed that bizarrely, none of the Palin clan make eye contact for longer than a fraction of a second - with ANYONE!  Not with each other, not with McCain.

What's that all about?

Is it a virtue that she doesn't have the social skills to show any human warmth?  Is she therefore seen as being straight and honest, as in - "I don't like this old bastard but he can get me into the White House" so chill.

And how come she's married to Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies?

kittinSol -> RE: Palin: Two Words.. (9/4/2008 6:30:26 AM)

See, Licks, I had pretty much an identical reaction. Humanly, it looks like there's something missing: the little family gathering at the end of her speech was refrigerating, really stiff, no spontaneity. As for the speech itself... the demeanor of the speaker, her fixed eyes and her frigid smile as she uttered venom sent shivers down my spine.

Thank god I'm DNA immune: some of my ancestors were from Transylvania.

I don't want to give this it's own thread yet, but the National Enquirer is talking about a Palin affair story.  They were right about the Edwards one...

kittinSol -> RE: Palin: Two Words.. (9/4/2008 6:39:41 AM)

I have my flame retardant suit on: I hope they're right, and that she did have an affair - how would they spin that one? Her politics are crazy, and perhaps the Republicans would choose someone decent instead.

MistressNew -> RE: Palin: Two Words.. (9/4/2008 6:56:59 AM)

I'm sure they'd find a way to say it's bad for Obama, much like all the polls showing him leading.

Well if Palin is quilty of adultery, I suppose we could check off the "Ability To
Cheat On Spouse While In The Oval Office" qualification box.

But then again, that would depend on what your definition of is, is.

They could go for Billy, but been there, done that.

Funny because all I heard was it wasn't an issue with Bill, why is it an issue now?

kittinSol -> RE: Palin: Two Words.. (9/4/2008 7:54:06 AM)

It's not a question of it being an issue, darling, it's not an 'issue': I don't give a flying duck's fuck who she shags. It's a question of making the most of it in order to destroy her political career and keep her safely away from the White House. Just like the Republicans tried to do with Bill, thank you for bringing up this uncanny parallel.

I see, so you posted that, before it was confirmed, hoping someone would believe it and change their vote. You don't care if it happened and you don't think it's an issue, but you will tell people it happened to destroy her career. After all the end justifies the means right, even if you have to lie to get there....Thanks for clearing that up.

kittinSol -> RE: Palin: Two Words.. (9/4/2008 8:01:24 AM)

I said "I hope that it's true". Never implied it was true. There's a difference, you know? Still, I'm sending vibes over to the National Enquirer, a detestable publication, incidentally, in the hope they dig up as much shit as possible.

Yep... even left-wing crazy-ass commie pinkos can be virulent bastards.

LaTigresse -> RE: Palin: Two Words.. (9/4/2008 8:02:40 AM)

After following several of the lawsuits against trash magazines like the Enquirer........I would bet that if they post something of that magnitude, they've got the facts to back it up.

Just saying.
