For those of you who did come here to find play partners/relationships/etc., or for those of you who didn't but found one anyway - about how long did it take?

  He had been on about a year before he found me.  I found Ex about two months after I joined the site (It's good to be a woman). It's been a year since he sent me that first e-mail!

As to our demographics, they're pretty standard for young kinksters: 24/22 y-o college-educated, geeks, could stand to lose a few pounds, live in a fairly liberal state.

So I guess a useful set of additional questions are: what demographics do you fall into? What demographics were you searching when looking? What demographics did the people who you actually had success with match?

I've met several doms from this site.  It didn't take long at all, and I'm a pretty fussy bitch.

Been on here since 2006  actually met 4 dom's 1 Gorean Master, was in a training collar 6 months, but long distance doesn't work for me.  lost count of players, still looking.  In NE of country most met are from my semi local area all my age but one, i'm in early 50's.  focusing more on munch's and gatherings to find a match i think. 

Know several who met on here though, one couple in 2 weeks another it took about 3 yrs.  Another it was less than a year,  2 of those couples have married.      All in different area and different age groups.

I have been here since feb this year. I have met a couple of people, but not 'the one'. I have met a few people with the view of meeting one day. But I'm having more luck here than b.com, alt and ic put together.

It took less than a week to find a friend for life.  It took a few months to find more of them.
 
It has taken all this time not to ask questions like "but if you're bisexual, how can you ever be monogamous?'
 
I am still learning...reason enough to be here.

I've been lurking here for a little under two months, I believe. I've not yet met anyone here in person, but did stumble onto a really good online friend, and have corresponded with several really nice forum posters and profile lurkers... [:)]

Demographics, lol, highly specialized; a straight male dominant biker over 50 years of age, Harley riders only, must currently own at least one HD, preferably poly or poly open.

Good for you, holly!  Same here.  I was on on CM (not the forums, just having an account) probably about 6-8 months.  I talked with lots but there was never anyone to whom I became committed until Master contacted me at that point.  We hit it off immediately, began a relationship and are now newlyweds.  It can and does work out for some of us who meet here[:)]................luci

Well, I've been in here since whatever date comes up under my avatar after I post this.....dated one, no sparks but a good time; talked to a few that fizzled for whatever reasons, I have sparks for a few but distance is prohibitive.
