Your line about 'no alcohol in Europe' and 'salad' had me screaming with laughter, by the way. Either you've never been there, or you had your blinders on when you visited :-) . Europe is a continent, not a political entity, so, you might want to revise that idea. The European Union is made of 27 independent, sovereign countries. Keep those last three words in mind. There is no 'European healthcare system'.

The EU is not a single political entity yet ... primarily because the citizens of several different nations have thwarted the EU Bureaucrats attempts to ram the constitution through, over their objections.

EU members aren't perfectly sovereign... so no. You're mistaken.

And a person can say the words "all of Europe" without meaning to say there are no individual states in Europe, kitten.

The parts about alcohol and salad had to do with the way bureaucrats and government tend to seek more power and control. Perhaps if you would re-read that post more carefully you'll understand it.

I don't think you have been to Europe or Europe as in the EU. I think you will find America has more bureacucrats, more flags, more uniforms and more laws telling you what you can't do than there is here. The land of the free is not as free as you think and if you think it is as free as you think, you should come here and compare, you will be surprised how much freer we are in many areas than America is.
