In response from another thread and request of a poster on CM, I felt it is a civic duty to warn everyone about Holly's cooking. It seems it is bad enough that the fire department has been involved. I beg everyone not to eat her cooking, it can be hazardous to you health due to the smoke from the food being burnt. Plus she has been known to trip over shoe laces, walk into door handles and drive with the emergency brake still engaged. Holly is a walking accident waiting to happen and it's best to keep a wide berth.

this public service announcement was brought to you by The Concerned Citizen Coalition.

I hear that she also stores snacks in electronic equipment such as DVD players and printers.

I've heard that every recipe at her house starts off with, "have fire extinguisher ready".  [sm=flameout.gif]

you mean all recipes don't?

Lost the whole stove huh. Thats pretty good there.

<hrumph>

allow mw to correct this gross misconception. The stove was not lost...i knew EXACTLY where it was: in the kitchen...on fire.

sirsholly -> RE: Safety Message about Holly's Cooking (9/14/2008 4:06:23 AM)

Ladies and Gentleman (and Bear),

I just want it hereby documented that countless numbers of people have eaten my cooking and gone on to lead somewhat normal lives....once they were discharged from the ER

... she might be the friend to have because of all those firemen...

MINI RANT:

ya know...i have an issue with the firemen. They are a wonnerful bunch who do not get enough credit and those that put out the Thanksgiving Day kitchen blaze were soooo polite when they declined my dinner invitation...but it is their PANTS that annoy me. Yes...their pants!!
You just know...just KNOW that under those baggy britches is a rather nice ass, but can we see it? NO!!! Their tight tushies are covered with yards and yards of flame-proof fabric. So sad.
So...here is my suggestion...i suggest they wear skintight Levi's from here on in. It is a known fact that tight clothing is less likely to catch on fire, so the tighter, the better.

Personally....i think it may be worth a house full of smoke *cough...choke* to see a fireman with a tight denim clad ass and a BIGGGGGGG hose......

scifi1133 -> RE: Safety Message about Holly's Cooking (9/14/2008 4:37:03 AM)

Hmmmm....Nope sorry Holly its not going to work. Just getting in and out of the truck with those pants on would be a huge problem. Sorry your going to have to think of another way to get a look at them. I suggest taking them treats to the stations during holidays. They don't wear the turnout gear just to hang there.
Good luck.

crap.

*thinks hard*[sm=idea.gif]*hurts self*

oooo.....ok...only the one that drives the truck needs to wear the baggie britches. The others can ride on the back of the truck!!!

KMsAngel -> RE: Safety Message about Holly's Cooking (9/14/2008 4:48:58 AM)

going about it the wrong way holly. after they've put out the fire, offer to wash their pants (and if they're wool, make sure you wash them in hot water and agitate them strongly) and while they're in their glory, give them alcoholic liquid libations to make up for the fact that they're missing their own dinners.

*nodnod* gotta think outside the box, holly. [:)]

sirsholly -> RE: Safety Message about Holly's Cooking (9/14/2008 4:53:00 AM)

ooo....love the way your mind works!!! especially the wool pants in a hot washer..[:D]

I suggest we undertake a study to devise a flameproof, transparent material suitable for both firefighting and ogling.
