Oh for corns sake Thadius! Then why are we in a war that's not a war? It's not a bloody zen riddle!

And if you re-read my last statement, I said that since Saddam is dead where are the human rights violations since he was the cause and now he's dead. See the difference? Live dictator, human  rights violations. Dead dictator who is violating the Iraqi humans rights now?

I find it humorous that you think of Obama as a Clara Zetkin with a penis. My. So he's a socialist? A Marxist at that? When was this declared by him since I'm all ignant and stuff 'bout my facts.

Are you proud of chopping up quotes in order to make cheap political points?

Yup.

You know, this isn't really germane to my OP. I'm sure you're aware this was discussed on the ABC thread. Please revive that if you'd like to discuss the holy/god's war dealio.

I like looking at the actual words people used to discern their meaning, yes.

How about those insurgents that are targeting civilians?  Nah, not a human rights thing... we should pull out now.

Have you read any of his policies and proposals? How about a certain law sitting in the Senate as we speak?   I don't seem to remember Palin declaring she was Bush either.  Then again, just do a search through Sen. Obama's own memoirs to find out who his influences are and what his beliefs are...

What the comparisons aren't fair? C'est la vie.  I stayed away from the more obvious comparisons of the typical Chicago political machine.

I just said it was humorous. Not unfair. You place meaning where it doesn't exist. But I'll give you this 'O goateed one, you most carefully and meticulously have the innate ability to beat a point to absolute death. You're actually hella fun to debate!

The OP was about Palin's spinning of fear. She does in my opinion. I don't think this is her intention, but she does.

See now I took the spinning fear, to be how some in the media reported her remarks.

Absolutely not. At least not that I'm aware of. That was my question, spinning fear or ignorant.

We're just supposed to stick with your own spurious accusation against Governor Palin, and not address the ignorance and lies and fear and spin directed at her and misquotes attributed to her in this very thread?

Why. Because it makes it too hard for you and your friends to beat up on her, or what.

It's perfectly germane...

So this thread was meant to be an attack on Palin?  I thought you put it forth as a discussion of the ignorance being portrayed and the spin of the media to cause fear in the public... and thus that same spin and ignorance would be applicable to how the media is treating all candidates (some more equally than others).

In the new light of your meaning.  My response would be none of the above.

My OP was a quote from the Washington Post, not a "spurious accusation." I also don't "beat up on her."

Whether or not she claimed the war was a holy war or god's war or whatever has nothing to do with whether or not she said 9/11 was attributable to Iraq.

Why are you so harsh?

Yes, it was my question, no, not an attack. Then I asked you, in particular, "Then I would like to ask you, do you think she doesn't know that Iraq was not involved with 9/11 or do you think it was a deliberate link for another reason? Or is there another explanation for her to say something the Bush administration has admitted is not true for years?"

Yes, your OP was a spurious accusation, if you still don't get that point try re-reading the thread. That has been over-explained time and again in this thread more than adequately for you.

I'm sorry if you still don't get it... and if I come across as harsh, it's one of two things. Either I'm tired of all the spin and misinformation and fear that's being spread around by so many on the left regarding Governor Palin, or I'm watching an exciting Seahawks vs. 49ers game, and typing really fast in between plays...
