Usually she is quite aloof and does not want to consort with any male. But the incarnate gods are as much - nay, far more - subject to fate than normal humans, so infrequently she does interact with the male gods - usually to her detriment.

but he does have a point. this is from the general mentality that's going around. i neglected to post the part about him (god) needing money: "He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. I can't say I'm 100% certain about the existence of a higher being, one responsible for the creation of the universe or not. I AM pretty convinced, however, that none of mankind's religions comes close to any knowledge of him/her/it. All of man's religions seem to be a combination of wishful thinking, and just "making shit up" in order to either explain things they couldn't understand, or to place themselves in a position of power over their fellows. Not really agnostic, either... I suppose "deist" would be closer to the right word. I tend to think someone or something IS responsible for the cosmos. But, once it was set in motion, I think that being pretty much stood back, and is watching what happens. The question I've always had is... "Why?" Why bother to create the universe in the first place? What purpose does it serve? Could it be that creating a universe where life and intelligence could develop is just a starting point? What if we've got it all wrong? What if the universe isn't God's CREATION... but rather God's PROCREATION? Oh, well... anyone else going to go see Bill Mahr's "Religilous" this weekend? Looks like it could be funny as all hell. (pun)

Fast Reply: I'm not an atheist, but I am not a follower of any religion. I've always considered myself a Deist. I find it unlikely that the Universe just happened. I just feel that there is a higher power at work that I don't understand. I don't have any proof. I don't have any proof that life exists on other planets, but I believe it. I am perfectly willing to accept some things on faith when logic can't go any further.

I'm an out and proud atheist, however I prescribe to the existentialist philosophy. Religion is far too dangerous a weapon to be in the hands of us mortal beings. We rarely invent gods that are better than ourselves, they usually end up with the manners of a spoiled child.
