Will Sarah Palin still be on the Republican ticket in November?

If not, who will replace her?

LaTigresse -> RE: McCain/______ (10/10/2008 7:03:25 PM)

It doesn't matter. McCain's credibility and judgment have been ruined.

Musicmystery -> RE: McCain/______ (10/10/2008 7:03:47 PM)

Of course she will.

Changing now would be even dumber than initially choosing her.

pahunkboy -> RE: McCain/______ (10/10/2008 7:14:17 PM)

Isn't this a pristine example of the 'unintended consequences' that the neo-cons have been lecturing us about ad nauseam?

Where have you gone, Spiro Agnew;
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you.............woo woo woo....

Like a bridge (to nowhere) over troubled waters-----

Ah, but I wax nostalgic, even now.

This is very funny....

My vote for one of the best thread titles.

Still mused by BiPolar`s "Palin451" thread title.

Slaughterhouse 5 seems magnificently appropriate.

It'll be interesting to see what, if any, effect the Troopergate report has on the polls.

Who'd be stupid enough to take the job? Shit, who'd be stupid enough to even take McCain's phone calls at this point?

"Governor Pawlenty's office; may I help you?"

(Gravelly voice with heavy Mid-Eastern accent) "Ah, yes, please. I am wanting to speak with Governor Pawlenty, if it pleases."

"And whom may I say is calling, sir?"

"Ah, tell him it is wealthy campaign contributor from wealthy oil-rich foreign ally country, please!"

"Ummm.... uh.... very well. Hold a moment, sir.... Excuse me, Governor Pawlenty?"

"Yes, Gladys?"

"I'm sorry to disturb you, but there's another phone call."

"Oh, shit. Who is it?"

"Well, I think it's Senator McCain again, Governor. He's pretending to be an Arab this time, sir."

"Oh, for christ's sake. An Arab! Goddamn it. Why did I ever give that pathetic bastard my number? Tell him... ah, shit, I don't know. Tell him I'm bowling or something."

"I told him that yesterday, sir. When he called up pretending to be the neighbor kid, asking if your refrigerator was running. Remember the news stories last night? All those film clips of the Senator running through all the bowling alleys in St. Paul, peering under the benches and yelling, 'Tim, Tim, where are you?' I don't think we should use that one again, sir."

"Yeah, you're right. OK, tell him... tell him I'm in the sauna with Joe Biden. Maybe that'll slow him down for a day or two. Shit, why'd i ever give that fucking loser my work number?"

        I don't think it's going to happen, DC, but I believe he would call Leiberman, and go down with a ship he could be proud of.

slvemike4u -> RE: McCain/______ (10/10/2008 10:06:28 PM)

Too late,way too fucking late.This is why most nominees actually vett their running mate before offering them the position,having this shit blow up after the fact means you just have to ride it out....lest you look un-Presidential

Moot.. she'll remain on the ticket. Anything else would toll a death knell for McCain. The spin is on for Palin, however, and I would never count out McCain nor dismiss the factor that racism will play in the voting or if all the newly registered will actually come out and vote. I don't think this is a gimme for Obama. With 24 days left to go, anything can and probably will happen.

(apologies for the totally unrelated tangent, but...)

Holy shit.
You spelled "ad nauseam" correctly.

100 points.
