ORIGINAL: PeonForHer Also, I've read recently that there's evidence that men cry a lot less than women but that this may have little to do with social conditioning. Apparently, we just don't have the level of hormones in us to make crying more than a rare event. I haven't cried for years and I bet many men would say the same. Emotional crying is justa coping method used to help people feel better because it eliminates stress hormones and makes them feel better. The beta-endorphins contained in tears is a natural pain reliever. Everyone uses coping methods to reduce stress, nothing new there, though not everyone, including WOMEN, cry as a coping method. Instead some talk it out with friends, or some exercise it out, and unfortunately, some drink it out, or take it out on other people in aggressive ways. Pity those individuals (mostly men) who keep things bottled in. Keeping emotions in does not make them go away. Keeping emotions bottled in, like most men do, leads to serious damage to your bodies, minds, and spirits, giving you an earlier death.
