It's better to spend one's aggression on the internet and to administer virtual whacks to cyberpeeps rather than to give actual punches to flesh and blood people in real life.

Ok, funnelgag, let's talk this out, 'k? I am being very nice to you and not nasty.

1. You seem very interested in how much time I spend online (as if you would know).
2. It is not your business what I do or don't do.
3. I don't have to answer to you on any subject.
4. I love online, it is part of my job actually.
5. Luckily for me, I have met alot of real life friends and lovers through this medium, as well as in real life. I am multifaceted that way, I can cruise online and then go meet real people outside.
6. I am not nasty, that is your perception. I am actually very sweet and helpful.
7. I do not display aggression; I am sorry you are so easily threatened by comments online. You should get out more and see how that works.
8. Your perception of aggression is your own, I see my words in a certain way as do others, sometimes you see negative intent when there is none and don't see humor. That is because....drumroll please...YOU DON'T KNOW ME.
9. And I don't care if you cannot stand my postings. I only care about those who I respect and since I don't know you, I have no feelings towards you at all.
9. There is a little button called HIDE.
10. I maintain my original point; read all the replies here, no one owes anyone a thing online, you can only control YOUR behavior and YOUR reaction, nothing more and nothing less.

Used innuendo to make it seem that she has no life off CM?  Really?  How is that in anyway being a good example?  How is that any different to what you are bemoaning?  How does it even help?

Done that, been there... I had to sit down and look at my behaviour and go WTF?  I went offline and contemplated about the way I had been to one individual and realised just how pointless it was.  Running someone down because of the amount of time you think they might have been online is just passive aggressive.

This. Exactly. I always think of these as the "Hey guys!" types and wonder where they've been before that they didn't get a bit of a smackdown for that behavior. I'd bet you could find a yahoo group devoted to quilting that would summon some snark when someone shows up who obviously didn't take the time to figure out how the group operates or what information is already openly available. In the context of bdsm, it seems even more important to wake them up and caution them to look the fuck around and figure out what's going on before they take any action. You could get seriously injured or jailed doing this shit if you're wandering around blindly.

On the separate subject of NZ points. To me, they came across as pretty juvenile when I first saw them. They still do, but I see it as a silly game where most of the players are aware of how silly it is. So they were off-putting to me in the sense of "what sort of immature dynamic is at work here?" I can see how others might find them off-putting in the sense of posters being favored or credentialed, but this is still just a lightly moderated internet forum and I think anyone interested and secure enough to stick around can find and have interesting conversations here.

Interesting observation, Lucienne.
 
I never really attached any significance to them, until he started following me and others around and being the discussion-dissecting hall monitor. Then you kind of see them as a device for garnering attention on himself in the guise of a silly game, and a continuation of the self-appointed role of distributor of credentials.
 
That degree of arrogance is ultimately futile in this medium, but I guess it fills his day.

On the points thing.  Why are people so obsessed with NZ points suddenly?  The subia mafia has been around  a while... so have countless other fan clubs... sunshines, SD, GT... seriously... what's so different?  Its immature - sure... but what happened to humour?  I mean, I know these so called things aren't your sort of humour... but people are relating and being cool.  Why piss on them all?  You have a fan club too - so what?  It's all groovy[:)]
