I don't know you. I can't say anything for sure about your personal situation. You've given me no info other than how you perceive things. It's very unlikely that you just happen to be someone that NO ONE finds attractive through no unusual circumstance or no fault of your own. I feel like this is not the whole story...

I have known some men who make the same claims you do and try to tell me to put up and shut up. In every case, they are either putting out a very unattractive/negative vibe or they only acknowledge women who are Heidi Klum clones. Are you one of those guys?

As for your rant about how harmless and unthreatening women are versus men...I can only shrug. Violence toward women is culturally encouraged around the world--not biologically mandated by small differences in stature. If most women were trained to use their bodies properly they could easily compensate for the slight sexual dimorphism of the species and turn into quite deadly warriors. Real combat effectiveness originates from a body that is well trained, not a body of some specific size and shape.

I'm one of four children: the only daughter. My definition of hitting like a girl is punching someone much bigger than you in the nuts. Highly effective. And funny too.

Well, as it happens, my sister's got four older brothers and is a few months off having a black belt in karate. "Hitting like a girl", in her case, isn't funny at all.

can't speak about other men's experiences, but I don't think that logic reverses well in practice, Shaktisama. Not on Cme, anyway. The worst responses on Cme I've had haven't been from women objectififying me and been pig-like - at least not in that way. They've smacked of being after money but they've never been "Dominaspluturanuses" (Jeez! Please tell me you made that name up!) demanding cock. Yet, I've been in situations where women act like pigs in that way (possibly the worst, actually - as a one-time stripper), and sure it can be, well, alarming, anyway. Please check your cmail inbox later for evidence from me on that.

I didn't think I was ranting - only pointing out that women just aren't threatening and harmful most of the time. Even if they physically could be - as is the case with my sister the karate expert (or if they're carrying weapons), they generally aren't. Of course it's to do mostly with cultural attitudes. No argument from me there.

Let us remember that women are 'born to procreate'. A world full of women could get along just fine with a small gene pool of sperm donors. We don't really need males that much. And men jump to do it to prove how big and strong they are. Dullerts. Who had the real power? Passive aggression is a wonderful thing.

In the 1940's when all the men in America - and around the globe - marched off to war, women stepped up and did EVERY SINGLE JOB that their men left behind. When all is said and done, the Allies won the war because the men and WOMEN back home were pumping out war ships faster than the Axis powers could sink them. Oh.... And backing up a bit. I don't actually 'complain' about all the "Great Ass" mail that I get. I just tend to 'snark' about it.

Let's face it. I'm 46. Will be 47 next month. Tim, gravity and two kids have done some -not so nice- things to other parts of my body. But as they say "The Legs are the Last to Go". If I wasn't proud of that hinny, I wouldn't be showing it.

Besides! You have no idea what kind of trouble I went to for that photo. I did a FOUR HOUR photo session with TWO photographers, one of which specialized in boudoir shots. There were over 700 photos taken that day. Only about 12 were deemed 'usable'. Of those, the one to my left is the best shot.

Trouble is I can't think of anything to add right now.

Except for a point alluded to by Coupleofwhats earlier - that, yes, I see what she says about getting lewd comments not matter how "well turned out" she is on a given trip outdoors. It reminds me of what one of my first ever girlfriends said. But the thing that got me was that that girlfriend was even more upset about such lewd comments, shouts, etc if she got them when she gone out after not having washed, dressed carefully, and so on. She said that at these times, she felt "disgusted at herself" as much as at the shouters.

That was so sad to hear - I'll never forget her saying that. I don't know . . . . there's a certain level that I never feel I quite get to on this sort of subject. I guess you need to have had that kind of thing for years, and with a whole culture behind it, for it to grind you down that much. If this has happened to men anywhere, I don't know of them. Unless, of course, we're talking of racist kinds of hassles . . .
