Personally a dom twice my age would be 96. And while it might be interesting, Im betting there'd be some moments that would give me pause. Like as in him needing help to get to the bathroom right in the middle of it. Or calling it quits by 8 pm when bedtime rolls around. Then theres the miscommunication part when the hearing aid isnt up high enough. Thats always a little tricky. lol The good news is, I'd be looking really good in his eyes. And I always like it when Im prettier than my man.

This is a question that particularly interests me, since I'm an older Dom who would like to find a younger sub. Not "half my age" younger, just "two-thirds my age" or thereabouts. However I haven't really seen anyone mention my own particular reason for this, though I do admit not having read every single entry. For me, I would like to find someone who's young enough that we could start a family a few years down the road. Granted, women my own age (42) are still very capable of having kids but the risks associated with pregnancy at that age are quite high and grow higher as age increases. Also, it would be nice to meet someone and be able to spend a few years getting to know them and being able to have a fulfilling D/s life as well before curtailling activities to raise children. (I also know sperm degrades as males age, but the rates of degradation are slower for men as well as occurring later. My father was 49 when I was conceived and born and 51 when my sister was born.) As to the other aspects of an older Dom being a better choice for a sub, I agree but that's just personal bias. I probably would have been disagreeing 20+ years ago when I started doing wiitwd. I make no apologies for my choices, since they are mine alone. Everyone's choices and opinions are right for themselves only. Plus, I'm weird.

Um...It sounds like the primary reason you want a younger sub is because you want a breeder. That's not very flattering. Have you considered an adoption, perhaps?

Note that I said "COULD start a family" (emphasis added). I don't want a breeder, I want a partner who also happens to be very kinky. I look upon WIITWD as a total lifestyle and, as such, more than JUST kinky sex. I want a partner who is interested in many things and the possibility of a family is one of those things. The reason I specifically mentioned my situation is only because I hadn't seen it covered. If this were a thread about gags, I would have happily gone on and on about my love for them. But that wouldn't mean that I wanted a mute sub. I have indeed considered adoption and it remains a possibility but that decision would hopefully be made with my slave.

I didn't delve into the many reasons I look for a younger girl, you are correct. I have a very young outlook on life and certainly don't feel my age, at least mentally. Physically, it's a little different story, but that's a tale for another time. I've worked at a large university for many years which has helped me maintain that youthful view. Working with twenty-somethings tends to keep one fresh and relatively in-touch with youth. Additionally, I'm working on a graduate degree so I'm also in classes with younger people. Of all my friends, only a few are more than a year or so older than me and the vast majority are five to seven (or more) years younger. This includes male as well as female. So I grant you that I may not have worded things as accurately as they were laid out in my head but I do assure you that my view of life is that of someone much younger than I, which would make it optimal for my partner to be the same.

i walked into a room once with people under thirty I felt very out of place. I felt i had no connection with them on any. Nothing in common . So when the age gap is too large and your chasing someone twice your age I think it is more of a selfish want then a realistic expectation. Maybe you need some help or therapy. As it is with many things - people generally become more experienced with age, and through age also comes maturity. As an older DOM (54) we often enjoy women from 19-40, who already have had some form of experimental training from partners of their own age group. The general complaint we have heard was that their partners fumbled through the experience, often not paying attention to their needs. We even had a woman reflect to us that her "Dom" put her in handcuffs - than later remembered that he had left the keys in his car, fully ruining her experience with him. We were amused to hear that story! Generally speaking ( we are not speaking for everyone), we more mature Dom's have become through time more knowledgeable in many fields. We instinctively know how the placement of some bondage, or gag will Influence a slaves blood flow, ability to breathe, her pain tolerance, or physical abilities. Although younger Dom's may acquire these traits in time, many lack the physical experience. Many subs/slaves look to us mature Dom's for other reasons including safety. We should further state that age itself does not make a great DOM/Master. There are plenty inexperienced older people who by the act of putting on a leather vest/chaps/skirt, profess themselves as a Dom/me! These people are often the basis for discontentment by their sub/slaves. Most of us older Dom's have heard horror stories of women abused, even raped during scenes. We have heard of safe words and signals being ignored during the heat of the moment. Personally we know of at least one sub, who was caned far beyond her safety zone by a Domme her own age. Thankfully these undesired occurrences are few and far in between. However, they do impede a young sub/slaves ability to remain trusting! We are certain in our opinion that younger Dom's generally tend to be more intrusive in their nature due to their youth, which may explain why they may experience an undesirable outcome in their play. We advocate - Safe- Sane- & Consensual Play! Our advice to all new and younger or new Dom's is; "Listen to your subs/slaves desires/needs. Respect her limits. Control your emotions during play. Watch for distress! Always have available spare keys, scissors, cutters, and emergency gear. Invest in quality equipment, and be careful not to overstate your experience. So far as I've seen he hasn't made any replies beyond the first one, though it seems he did change his profile somewhat. Well, I hope he learned that unless he can trot out a stable of well-adjusted, mature, good looking doms that are somehow more attractive then the older gents, women will continue to be with the older fellows. Takes more then simple yelling to change someone's mind about who to be with.

Well, Ive been with men age 22 to 60. I found out that I was best suited for older men. Im 42 and my Dom just turned 60. Im glad He's that age. He's very resourceful because He has lots of experience in life and is secure in Himself. I find that extremely sexy! Hmmm...not necessarily "powerful" but there's just something freeing about being with a Man that knows how to be relaxed in His skin. It come across easily and well, to be honest....women can sense it from the first moment she eyes Him. Picture it: a young gorgeous male struts across the room almost barking His demands (because He is THE man) loudly makes His presence known...or...an older Man (even those supposedly "less" gorgeous by media standards) quietly assessing the room takes possession and leans into the chair.
