If I have offended anyone personally here, it certainly was not my purpose, and I aploligize.  We get passionate about our views and, at times, the chat can get kinda contentious.  I believe that we all care deeply about our political views, right or left...middle of the road, or whatever. I assume everyone here is an adult and the language we use to express our emotions is simply that..."words".

I am happy to discuss anything on a thread, and appreciate the emails I have been receiving from both the left and right among us.  It's been a true learning experience...and, for the most part,  some of the brightest, reasoned, arguements I have heard from both sides in any chat venue.  Be well...

This is not the place for the thin skinned. People are exceptionally civil though, and find very creative ways to tell people they are full of crap. You'll know if you cross the line, you get a cmail from a moderator with a nice gold border.

This can be a tough crowd when it comes to issues. People have thought out their positions in most cases and have very cogent arguments to support their assertions. I sometimes wish this wasn't an adult kinky site, there would a lot bigger audience and some people here really do have something to say.

I think it's more that we care deeply about our country and we just have different ideas on what's best for her. If we can't get passionate about our country, hell .. might as well move. I'd rather hear opposing passion than hear nothing because of apathy.

Heya corysub,

We rarely agree on the issues, but you have never personally offended me.  Though we do disagree, I do admire that you are passionate about making this country a better place.  Disagreement is not bad, in and of itself.  If we all nodded, agreed and said the same things, we would never learn anything new.

Again, though we may not agree, I would never doubt your care for this country, nor would I misinterpret your passion for a personal attack (unless of course, you made one ).

The 1st thing I recall reading of yours here was using Mr Obama`s middle name, like a curse word.

That`s all I needed to know.

It was purposeful and meant to demean and insult.

After that, whatever you`ve said is painted by that and nothing`s really changed since then.

Hussein is not a curse word(outside of the neo-con world). It`s one of the most common names in northern Africa and as common as Joe(Joseph) or Pet(Peter) or Paul is here.

It`s used to make Obama look scary and un-known,foreign,Arab and "not one of us".It`s a code word, like"welfare","socialism","Marxist",etc.

And you use those terms freely and knowingly and on purpose.

As a regular listener to Rush,I just hear you repeat the daily conservative talking points and spin, nothing more really.Nothing original,I mean.

I don`t mind debating cons.I enjoy it,it`s my kink.

Looking forward to some creative thoughts and debates, cory.

You don't offend.

You're just one of the last conservatives left here for us nasty liberals to pick on.  The rest have abandoned ship.

I give you a lot of credit for sticking with your views and continuing to voice your positions.

Even if they are completely wrong.

Cory no apology needed as far as I'm concerned.Just good old fashioned political discourse, and yes at times it gets contentious.....but that is the nature of the beast,as Celeste noted passion from both sides is way better than apathy....looking forward to seeing your post's again in real time.....(and shredding them point by point)be well and ride it out.....Mike

It's a coincidence: suddenly, they all had more important business to attend to  .

I'd be apologizing all the time. Like you I get very passionate in my arguments...But I never argue out of hate...just the fun of the debate...Hey that rhymes..I'm a genius..even though I had to use the speller for rhymes.

In fact, those that I argue with the most I end up liking...sort of  like the fights I had as a kid...beat each other up... then shake hands... then feel like brothers..proud of each other for standing up to the other..does that sound right..lol.

Sarcasm is my big weapon ...I don't insult the person directly..and I keep an open mind. I have even changed my mind in the middle of an argument even if I would never tell the other person.

Keep up the passionate posts they are fun.

First off, Cory, nobody is ALL wrong.  Don't listen to that crap.  Secondly, this whole apology shit offends me.  Take it back now!  (Just kidding)
You believe very passionately what you are saying.  Some of your views I agree with and some I don't.  Thats why I have no party affiliation.  Both sides only have half a clue and act like they have the solution to all the world's problems.   Thats why both sides have failed the people.  Thats why both sideswill continue to fail us.

There are so few Conservatives remaining here that all the poor Liberals have to go around constructing straw men to try to argue against.

It's kind of pathetic.

Shit. What'd I miss? Anybody got a link?

Cory - whatever happened, don't sweat it. You seem like a basically decent guy, except for your republicanism. I hate most of what you stand for, and find most of your arguments frankly repugnant, but I don't have anything against you personally. Kind of like you, actually.

If you went too far, you're not the first person who ever did. I've been guilty of it too from time to time. Sun still came up in the east the next day, every time. Whatever happened, forget it and move on.

No worries.  This is a healthy way to deal with an angry world.   We are so angry now that the forums may exhibit angry behavior.
All I ask is no racial slurs.  I get very pissed off about that.  You have never been offensive to me.  We disagree in our views, but that is ok.

Regards, MissSCD

The pendelum must swing, Sanity.  Just imagine how many brand new ones will start sprouting if we wind up with Barry in the White House, and Pelosi and Reid running Congress.

Funny thing is, if that happens, I'll get re-labeled as a lib.

Why, do you see yourself becoming an apologist for those three and their policies, Rich?
