ORIGINAL: RedMagic1 Dude. You are providing no data -- again -- and sitting back and sniping at others. Passive aggressive, and unimpressive. If you want to sound like a scientist, engage in the scientific method and take a position that has backing outside of your personal opinion. All of your posts on this thread have been that of a troll, tearing down positions of others, while advancing no position of your own. studying human action and behavior through the scientific method always fails as there are an infinite number of confounding variables that always render such studies meaningless. empiricism works great for some of the hard sciences. the variables can be reduced to mathematics and the phenomena we can see everyday can be understood in fantastic ways. and if we do find a new phenomena or if the equations aren't perfect, investigations are made as to why this is and the model is changed. hence, physics, chemistry, biology, and other real sciences (the hard sciences) are constantly being furthered by the scientific method. the soft sciences, psychology, sociololology, economics, etc. are hampered by attempting to use the scientific method as their subjects either do not exist (in the instance of economics or sociology - as economics is a phenomena of human interaction, not an equation of equilibrium, and societies cannot be understood if one understands that societies are nothing more than the totality of individual human actors) or their subjects are entirely too self-aware, diverse, and complex (in the case of psychology).
