He must have studied Mrs Thatcher, she slaughtered our coal industry twenty years ago. There will be fun when the oil runs out and they have to knock down the executive housing they built over most of the pits to get back in.

Obama could care less about the coal industry, the oil industry, the drug industry...just about every industry in the U.S. What is it going to take to wake people up that this radical guy that no one knows is anti-business..which means..your are out of a job.... You've never noticed him stutter like that before? Stuttering is a nervous tic he has... like a lot of people, he tends to stutter a lot whenever he's contradicting himself, or when he's lying outright. It's a fairly common trait. I've always hammered Obama's energy policy, the fact that he's determined to drive the cost of power so high that only the wealthy and the Chinese will be able to afford it. Read the quote in context. He's talking about reducing carbon emmissions and making it impossible to build conventional coal plants that emit present levels of pollution. That's a lot milder than what should be done to the coal industry.

You're still taking it out of context. Sanity correct me if I'm wrong,but doesn't McCain and the coal industry tout the advances made in trapping those emissions and now claim "clean coal"...and if so wheres the problem.If there are few emissions to tax....all good,right ?
