One very valuable lesson I learned....D/s may appear to be one sided, but when you truly get the meaning....it's not that way at all...

The rewards coming back are ten fold.

(side note) said with a big smile....I joyfully wear skirts and totally accessible to my Master at all times...Now ask me what the rewards are?

Hmmm, that may be willing...but its just as exciting to have those same jeans ripped or cut off you, literally :) YOu dont have to be in a skirt to be accessible...

Some dominants, whether they be male of female, ask, quite plainly in their profiles that when a submissive or slave contact them, they do so with a revealing letter as to not only what their interests are, but also why they feel they would be a good match. So, when they get an email that says nothing more than 'hello', it is basically tossed aside.

I think, lol. Right FT?

Thank you for making an effort to clearing this up for me. I certainly can understand following instruction in a profile, however the aforementioned was in reference specifically to Foxer's email....

My first contact with anyone is to simply say, Hello, I found you ad and find you very attractive, etc, and I think we might be a good match, etc, see my profile and I'll be looking forward to hearing from you.

I am still scratching my head on this one....

Maybe Ive been away from online too long...but what is wrong with a simple hello?

Respectfully,
BTs willing

xxblushesxx -> RE: What Is It With Women...? (12/18/2005 6:38:35 PM)

I think, perhaps, we can learn and grow more (and yes, this does mean YOU...) if we listen to what people are saying when we DON'T like what they are telling us...

Yes, it is nice to repost someone's view who agrees with you, but, imnsho...if 8 out of 10 people are genuinely concerned about something you are doing and/or saying...and if only 1 out of ten is consistantly agreeing with you...(and the other 1% can go either way...) perhaps it is time to sit back and just hear what the others are saying. Padraig and Candy Stripper in particular...

I do understand about only wanting to be with younger people...the last two guys I have been out with were both 12 years younger. I look v young, and mostly am attracted to younger guys. (although they also have to be strong, and confident) But I would not refuse to even look at the profile of someone older, just, for me, the chemistry is usually not right. (padraig, you may be depriving yourself of some interesting experiences as well, by limiting your age range so much.) Believe me, with the guys I go out with, no one knows he is with an 'older' woman.

And women are objects huh? Ok....uhm...

Oh, wait....

did you mean they object to being degraded and insulted by people who don't even know them? Yes, this is completely correct, thank you for pointing that out!

Have a wonderful nite!

Christina

BIG SMILE....very true Irish...I do agree....but I am modest (yeah right), but I will take my skirt over jeans being ripped off in a restaurant any day....

Even though Burger King says have it your way....I still think there is rules about having your jeans ripped off... would make a great fantasy...me, jeans and the king... wink

Irish,

I find this incredibly juvenile. What the Dom or Domme is doing, as I see it, is demanding the sub explain their sexual interests so the Dom or Domme do not have to do any work and can manipulate the sub before any meeting to find out who and what the sub is about. For all anybody knows its a scared "girl" trying to explore her sexuality. My approach is to find out who they are personally and then when I understand that I will advise them of what I expect. We can work from that juncture. No need to push it.

Okay, Foxer buddy, I've been with you until now....smile...

Even though i dont agree with getting instructions on a profile about sending a detail letter....the submissive still has a choice whether to respond or not and that is that particular Dom being upfront and honest about His or Her weeding out process..

Just like your weeding out process.(attractive,.skirts etc) ..Same results..different means..

All about choices...

Rejecting someone can be difficult, sometimes more so for a submissive. Some are unwilling to simply say "I am not interested." Also, subs and slaves do talk amongst themselves. You may have gotten a bad reputation in your area.

NO, I disagree. I see it as an attempt to weed out the wannabes. Not everyone is interested in a 'love' relationship...respect, trust, loyalty, even friendship yes, but not all are looking to be loved or to love. And not all are looking for a 24/7 relationship...some only want steady weekends, or something along those lines. ( Keep in mind, this is coming from a submissive...not a dominant, not a master, and not a switch ). If I actively pursued the profiles on here, and contacted someone who specifically stated in their profile what they were looking for, I woudl go out of my way to list my experiences in each area in my first letter to them...along with the normal conversation tidbits...'hi how are you...I am so and so...these are my 'nilla' interests, etc"

I see nothing juvenile about it at all. I see it as someone who is mature, knows what THEY want, knows where THEY are in life, and expects anyone who contacts them to be the same.

willing,

It may be a weeding out process but I see it also as a tool for gross misuse. A lot of subs don't even know exactly what they want and I don't want to make them uncomfortable before knowing they can trust me. Once the trust is established, many things flow on their own.

Hmmmmmmmmmm ....now submissives are too immature to know what they want?

Okay, lets agree that process is not our cup of tea, BUT dont throw stones when you have your own particular brand of tea.

Just admit all have choices, you me and the man in the tub makes three.

As far as a sub not knowing what she wants... I can make you a promise a sub that didnt know what she wanted would not necessarily contact you due to your profile. Your profile would only attract a self-confident sub, in my opinion.

krys,

I don't know many around here and the ones I know also know I am very selective so that's probably not a problem. I don't do play-partners, I'm not looking for a dumpling bedmate, nor do I spend much time around the local BDSM group any more. The professionals who started the group have been displaced by gays, lesbians, funkers, punkers, Goreans, and just about imaginable minority possible. There are few candidates since even the originals no longer hang-out there.

Around here we call it the submissive network, and it works extremely quickly.

Call me a rebel, call me what you will, call me old fashion or over the hill....

But i never listened to the advice of other submissives UNLESS it was safety issues and then I perhaps put caution to their words.

But why would you listen to negative comments from another submissive, because undoubtedly the interaction didnt work well with them, doesnt mean the same would be true with you.

Gosh, I would think that there are better ways of getting attention!

Well, if it WORKS for you...
