Lots of reasons... The first that comes to mind, since I found I've done it, is looking again because you can't quite remember if you've looked at it before until you actually view it -or if you've just read the name.


I've already done this a number of times.

Beyond that, I'd usually bet on the person being nervous about contacting you.  I'm that way with some people.  You only get one chance to make a good first impression, and for some people, that leads to stress.

Including me.

Status: offline 		This is just Me personally, but when I've noticed someone looking at My profile repeatedly over a period of time, I've found it's because they were intimidated to write to Me.  A lot of folks aren't sure if they are allowed to contact a D first and all of that.  I don't have those kinds of hang ups, but some do, so not everyone is comfortable with making the first contact.  I have written to those I notice viewing repeatedly, asking them if there is something I can help them with.  Most of the time, they appreciate it because they were shy.

Status: offline 		my first thought was maybe they are a fake profile keeping tabs on you to see if you change your profile...? maybe it is someone you write to and wanting to see if they view your profile if you will write them.. just another view..

Status: offline 		Perhaps there is somhthing in your profile that limits them from making contact. maybe they forgot the first three times that you set an age limit or hight requirement.  There are three lady's here that have very nice jounal entries and i frequantly go to see th whole profile sometimes wishing that the restricting limit was gone . Or it could be a matter of distance. You knoe, theyareforcedto "Love, pure and chate from afar." O.K maybe it isn't pure and chaist if they wacked off.  i do hope they kept it off the screen and keyboard. yuk

Status: offline 		Oh Gosh!  This is going to sound horrible, but there are a few people on here who write the most ridiculous, ludicrous shit. Every time I read more of there dribble, I can't help but check there profile to see if it's still full of bull.  I can't help myself.

Status: offline 		I have no idea why someone would do this, but I have one of these viewers as well.  He's out of state, a poster on the boards, and he's been viewing my profile regularly, for months, but he never emails to make a comment or say hello or whatever.  It seems weird to me.

I had a guy view me almost daily for several weeks.  I checked out his profile and found we had nothing in common.  Nothing at all. Wrong age, wrong location, wrong kinks, wrong...everything.  He fit none of my search criteria, I fit none of his.  So I assumed he was bored/lonely/stoopid and left it at that.

After about 3 weeks I got a message from him.  It was basically a rant about how rude and unsublike I was, after he'd gone to all the effort of checking my profile every day and I couldn't even bother to message him to thank him!

Yeah, right....

Status: offline 		i view lots of profiles... and there are several who i view on a regular basis... i almost never send messages. 

when people post on here, i view their profile if i haven't seen it in a while, to see if they've made any changes.  sometimes, i view profiles to see if someone has started or ended relationship, especially if it's someone i might have been interested in previously. 

i have a couple people who view my profile very frequently... one who told me that he "has to see my face every day", but whatever, I guess.  

i also view to read blogs/journals/whatever. 

i don't often view those who viewed me... and i almost never view those who don't have pictures, with the exception of DavanKael who I view in hopes that she will ADD pictures :)

Status: offline 		One possible reason is that you attempted to drive a wedge between them and their spouse, deleted your old profile, created a new profile, and they recognize you and look at your picture while seething and wishing very very bad things upon you.

Not that I have any personal experience in this.

Just an idea.

Status: offline 		Uh, maybe cuz CM is a web site? Lots of 'strange rangers' on the 'net; don't put your profile up on a site -- especially a kink site -- if being viewed by peeps squorks you out.
 
I'm pretty selective about what I say about myself on the 'net.  Some sites are safer than others.  Nonetheless, there are some really flakey folks on CM, just as there are on other sites.
 
I wouldn't be too concerned.  I frankly don't understand why CM even has the 'Who's Viewed Me' feature, though ya, it is nice.  Chances are it's a man or woman who finds you attractive but doesn't care to contact you.  Could be any number of reasons why.

Status: offline 		I enjoy looking through profiles and some amuse me more than others.
Some people have the most exceptional pictures and some have really funny and witty dialogue, I may find them amusing, but not want to to do them.
Furthermore, some of the really cloying, "I have found the one," time dreamy rambles, make me laugh to the point of endangering my bladder.
