On topic ... I loved how Stephan explained sending his submissive to someone else - like sending your child off to kindergarten.  That brought it home and showed me easily how it might feel on the other side of the slash.  OP, hope she enjoys every minute and returns home happy.

Personally it hasn't been annoying me to see people ask for more info.  What has been annoying me is seeing people say that the OP was somehow trying to mislead people.  I often make a post not realizing that because others don't know the background I left out they won't be able to understand the meaning of my post.  I understood the OP's meaning right away because I knew the background.  The fact that others wanted more information to answer the question seems fine to me.  What is frustrating to see is those who, once given the requested information turn around and say that MAM was misleading them.  The question he asked in the beginning is still relevant whether some people consider "The Training of O" to be valid training or not.  The point is that MAM and his slave consider it training.

I'd like to clarify. I was one of those that asked for some clarification. I wasn't trying to second guess the intention of the poster...I was trying to figure out what was being asked. When I read the OP I flashed back to a post from a year or so ago where someone made a post about the wrongdoings of a "trainer" and everybody and their brother began shredding said "trainer" and offering copious amounts of sympathy to the poster.....only to find out a bit farther into the post that the "trainer" in question had nothing whatsoever to do with BDSM....they were a PERSONAL trainer....as in the kind you hire to help you exercise.
 
Now that this post is a bit clearer I must say that I am rather enjoying the post also. I think that the kink.com site is pretty freaking hot and if I were younger and still had that perfect little body....well hmmmm.....I just might. I don't think that I would personally view it as "training" but it might just be one cool experience.
 
I can't answer as a Master who has allowed his slave to do this....I can only imagine how I might like to view it from that perspective. I think that I would rely heavily on all of the conversations that led me to believe that this was something that we both wanted to do and that we both felt "right" with. In other words, I would allow what led up to it to comfort me in her absence and fuel my anticipation of her return that would be sure to be filled with some cool new things that we could incorporate into our own intimacy.

I'm just going to jump in here too, and say thank you both. I was thinking it was a bit more staged so I was wondering why MAM would be so upset since she's done modeling before. MAM, from everything that Charlotte said, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Best wishes to you both.

Usually I ask for clarification, however it was pretty damn obvious the OP was asking specific people.  They didn't lie, they didn't mislead - And it isn't like the OP left it a week before clarifying anything - they came back within a couple of hours.  People are acting as if the OP deliberately mislead - they didn't - they were vague enough that people who completely understood the question could answer and people who didn't waffled on like they usually do.  It's all cool though - it simply shows those that care and have any common sense against the ones who automatically jump on the 'if he can't train you himself he aint no dom' bandwagon.  In other words - quality advice over quantity.  It's cool because new posters can sift through the people who write crap advice and like to jump on the backs with others, to those that post genuine and knowledgable advice for those like me who had no idea but now have a clearer one.

I'm pretty sure if I tell an employee to fabricate something for a client, according to the clients specifications, that I'm still the one in charge.

If someone sends their girl to a shoot, with specifications on limits, stuff they'd like to work on, and the pay agreement, then they are still in charge.



Did you read the description of how this particular shoot works at all or did you just pop in?

Status: offline 		Well....this has been an interesting visual test of the mentalities of people who have some familiarity with the shooting/modeling/adult-entertainment world and those who do not.

The reason "training" was brought up in the OP is because the TofO series at least loosely gears each shoot with specific intents and traits of the sub/slave being the focal points. It's not just gonzo.

It wasn't about "work related" training as the next post said but they got advice about that. Sending slaves to college classes and stuff. It was about a porno shoot and when they FINALLY said it, then they actually got advice worth something to them from people who had been through the same thing.

If you want good advice you give honest details, not half a story or a watered down version. If they were afraid of being judged because it had to do with porn boohoo. No matter what you post people will judge you, if you're not ready for that then don't post. As someone said, why be vague here if your girl is about to be an internet porn star...people are going to see/know no matter what.

The thread is so far 6 pages long and long maybe 2 pages of useful advice, mainly because the OP was vague. Now, I could really care less either way because this thread has been truly lulz worthy and amusing to read, but it's quite obvious after reading all 6 pages why people are a bit irked at the lack of info. I'm sure people could have given better advice early on (or not have posted at all) if they knew all the details around the issue. But then again, if every poster did that when asking for advice it would lower the lulz factor....ah well.





To correct you, this thread was not made with the intention of receiving advice, I'll go farther to say that it didn't sound like he Wanted any to begin with since he withheld (irrelevant) information. (Irrelevant because...) If you reread the op it is asking a specific question about other people's experiences in dealing with a specific issue which in this case is the feeling of loss of control.

The thread was meant to be about experiences in the feeling of having lost some control NOT about receiving advice. He wasnt asking for advice so the background info was pointless. People snatched tidbits of text and made a huge deal out of it then it got the whole thread off track.
