Speakin as one whos flown and has medical problems I.E. CF(Cystic Fibrosis). I'm on oxygen 24/7 now due to my failing lungs because of the CF I was born with. I cannot begin to describe how embarassing it is to be flying and having to use oxygen on a plane. 1st. I have to get on 1st before everyone else. I get gawks and stared at. I know these people have to be thinking "Wtf does he get the special treatment and get to get on 1st." Then I'm on the plane the oxygen all hooked up, the cannula on my face then they start letting people on and again I get these gawks and stares..bugs the hell out of me to no end. Then to top it off I get tons of questions from those walking by,loading their luggage then I get that one smart ass. "See thats what you get for smoking." or.. "You smoked huh..you youngins will never learn." I so wanna punch them in the mouth. I havent ever smoked in my life and I HATE smokers..period..People who smoke have no right to air at all..If Your stupid enough to put that thing in your mouth & inhale then just shoot yourself in the head cuz your killing yourself anyway. You stink..your breath stinks..your clothes stink and you'll have cancer the mouth, the lungs and heart attack. Smoking killed my mom, she died of a heart attack due to smoking. thats what she gets for flat out refusing to quit..Want that to be You? No?..didnt think So..keep on smoking see what happens. Dont even say I didnt warn you.. "The Toddle"

What about the people that feel they are entitled to a seat because they feel claustrophobic... or they want more room just because... or their leg is screwy and they can't sit still? Are you discriminating against them as well? They just need to make the fricking seats a little bigger. [>:]

Given my druthers, I'd rather be the only person on my airplane. why? because I want it to be like that. my ratiocinations are the same as large people who wants two seats. Are airlines discriminating against me because they won't let me ride by myself in a 747 for 500 dollars? not a 747 but you can get a small charter plain to fly by yourself for less then an airplane tickets price. So besides the pilot you can fly by yourself. The fat people arent asking to take a huge plain up they are asking or trying to force reasonablly sized seats. which is the issue.

They are corporations whose stock is traded on the open market), but when one opens a business that involves providing a service to the public, one agrees to follow certain guidelines and laws. Using your overblown "plane to myself" example, it would be OK with you if airlines, being "private property" decided to forgo required maintenance and inspections of their equipment? Should be permitted to decide that someone who is black or gay isn't allowed to buy a ticket? After all, no one should be able to tell them what to do with their property, right?
