I charge £120 for a one hour session, compared to some UK Dommes that is cheap as chips.

I have my own facility, so no horrendous overheads, and the low fee does not in no way hinder my facility or abilities lol.

Infact, I should charge more, but have not altered my hourly rate since Pro-Domming 5 years ago. I would never raise or reduce my tribute either, I can manage very well on a more do'able session fee

I have heard of many Pro-Dommes paying half the fee straight to the house, something I used to do, until this year acquiring my own playspace, heaps better in my opinion.

So independant's are much happiler in their work, maybe moreso then those that have to fork out 50% or more to the house.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how and where I can find a Mistress Here is the reality -- on the web there are two types of women who are dominant -- pros and the 24/7 femdoms who want you to marry them so that you will have to support them financially.

Most of the pros are under the age of 30, and most of the 24/7 are over.

In answer to your question: you won't find what you are looking for here unless you want to be a john or a 24/7 total slave. If you choose the slave route you will probably never have sex because you will wear a chastity belt and your mistress will probably be a bitch that hates everything about men except the money they earn.

wow....bitter much?....lol

I am over 30....and I am a lifestyle Domme, always have been, since I was 20.  As far as wanting someone to marry for his money...I can take care of myself, always have.   Besides, most of they guys I run into make less than I do or they are "employment-ly challenged".

I want a mate who I can share not only D/s with but vanilla things as well...not necessarily scoping for a husband, but if he appears I'm certainly not going to turn him away.   And from my past experience, I'll probably still make more than he does.

I have found that many lifestyle femdoms have higher earning potential than men the same age, and when subs realize no amount of money can "buy" their affections, they develop an attitude like azjojoba - it's a combination of fear, resentment and jealousy.  They like to believe that beautiful, successful femdoms can *always* be bought, whether through booking a session at the dungeon or playing the role of sugar daddy. When they come across a woman who earns her own money with a successful career, AND is kinky as hell and can have her pick of men, these guys get really bitter and you have seen the result. At the heart of it is rejection and the fact they cannot attain these women.

I think naturally born femdoms are intuitive, resourceful and tenacious - and they bring that zest to their line of work.  It's also why there are SO MANY good pro femdoms who earn a living or supplement a living by being a self-made boss - those who own their own companies know that this is no easy task and takes a certain skill set, as well as legal and accounting strengths.  Femdoms who do not choose to become pro femdoms often have very successful careers and so many are self-made and run their own small businesses, like me. Businesses that have nothing to do with kink.

I have not met a male submissive who makes more money than I do.  I'm sure they exist, but it doesn't matter, money never attracted me anyway.  I feel that earning the money is my preferred role, with a man playing the role of supporter.  It also makes for much better sex, since he's never tired from working full time.

I don't understand this observation.  Do some men really get this attached to a professional domina?

I'm 33 and have sessioned with many Mistresses who are both younger and older than me.  While I do not know how much money these women make, I've never felt that lifestyle dominas have significantly more earning potential than me and have never developed feelings of resentment towards any of the dominas that I have visited.

Also, most of the pro dominas that I have come across work exclusively as a domina as they are available during both day and evening hours.  I really haven't across any women that run a company, practise law or accounting and then do domination to supplement their income.  Most of them are doing it full-time and are more than happy to book an appointment.

I'm sure there are circumstances where they may refuse to see a client, but does that really stir emotions of fear, resentment and jealousy?

I see the issues:
1. You are admittedly cheap, which excites most woman.
2. You are lazy to a fault with no desire to do your own research.
3. You are transparent in your approach.
Always remember:
You get what you pay for

azjojoba,

That quote should not be attributed to me.  I was actually responding to the quote and disagree with it as well.

Sorry, let me clarify.

I think that many lifestyle femdoms (ie, we do this because we enjoy it on a primal, natural level) have higher earning potential in their real world jobs and careers (not pro femdoms, I am talking about non-pros; of course, there is an overlap); so many are self employed, are highly academic, are successful authors.  When I think of the lifestyle femdoms I know that do not work in any field related to kink, most either own their own business (outside of kink) or work but have their own business on the side.  I think that the common trait among femdoms is a very ambitious nature.

What the earning potential of a full time, professional dominatrix is - I am not sure, it varies by region. I know when I was suffering my first round of corporate-burn-out around age 25, I entertained the idea of becoming a professional dominatrix. I'm sure every femdom has at least thought about it when you are sick of your boss, sick of the rat race and enamored by the idea of being self employed and having a full dungeon as a side perk.  But I crunched the numbers, weighed the pros and cons and decided to continue the corporate ladder route and work toward being self employed as a consultant one day in my field.  It took a long time and a lot of migraines but I did it.

I knew that in my mid-20s I could make as much money working in a dungeon as I did at my corporate job at the time; but when you add in job security, health insurance, retirement, sick days, vacation days, and not *being forced * to be kinky on a day that I wake up feeling too-vanilla, I decided the best route for me was to stay corporate. Plus I didn't want to waste all those years earning a degree.

Of course when I am feeling burn out in my career I entertain the idea of being a full-time kinky something - dominatrix, author, toy seller, whatever.  But by now my earning potential as a consultant is so much higher, I'd be crazy to take that risk. Most of the time I do love my job, too.

The resentment comes from men who think they can buy my affections and they cannot because I make enough money on my own.  And, I love my work, so there's no trying to buy me by promising me a life of luxury - I really prefer to be the one working and have the boytoy who does not work.  There are men that are used to getting what they want with money, and they get a kick out of 'controlling' their 'femdom' in that manner. That's what I am talking about.

1) Yes. I tend to be very open and chatty with most people as I'm also in the Lifestyle and just love what I do. I just had a guy who wants to do a foot session with me offer to take me to a casino/put me up in a hotel (like a date). I've had a lot of other guys ask me if I have a b/f, husband, g/f, etc because, like most guys, if you can date it for free, why pay for it?

2) Yes. Check out most of the posts about pros. A lot of the guys who are the most opposed to us were turned down by one of us for some reason or another. (In some cases, because we aren't prostitutes.)

For me, being a Pro-Domme is a side thing right now because I haven't built up a strong list of references/regulars yet due to an odd market. (Yes, I'm one of the few.) I have a lot of success with my "vanilla" day jobs (and I use vanilla loosely). As a Lifestyle Domme, I would say that 2 of my traits are being aggressive and ambitious, amongst other things.

I figure that if continue on the path that I'm going on in both, that if I decide to quit one or the other in the future, I won't have any worries about my own financial stability. (I wouldn't doubt if I end up as a Cougar when I get older, the possibility is there.)

And I can certainly say from when I dated vanilla and wasn't interested in money at all. (Went dutch on most of my dates.) That guys get PISSED if they can't "buy you." It negates all their entitlement to any "benefits" from the get go.

Again?  WTF?

Oh, yes.  The lack of observation skills is exactly what everyone seeks in a Dominant.
