Gwyn..compared to being pregnant, lugging a watermelon around is a piece of cake!

But the end result is such a priceless gift

i agree, holly, watermelons are indeed a gift from God.

Not long back I was at a railway station here in London with a friend trying to rush to make a connecting train. We rushed up the steps, but I tripped over the top step and went flying, colliding with one of two officers of the British Transport Police walking up to the stairs. It wouldn't have been so bad hadn't my face hit him in his crotch and me making a grab for his trousers.

All I can remember is him making this 'oof' sound and me thinking 'Oh shit' (as you do in such a situation). Fortunately the policemen were very understanding.

The worst part was that it was during the rush hour with lots of people around. I have never wanted to just vanish into thin air so badly.

do you find that the watermelon is a new organic form of birthcontrol? How often do you change it...what do you do with the rinds...are there ants in bed with you now?

Without a doubt, you had a perse moment...cherish them, it is what makes our time here on Earth worthwhile. The burning humiliation of that moment will live for years...despite being a great dinner party story...under it all, ahhh the agony.
Welcome to the club...sorry you had to join.

It wasn't me, but rather my sister, that is the walker.  When we were younger, she'd walk all the time....we had bunk beds, and the nitwit would get down on the wall side of the bed, crawl across me, then go about whatever it was she was gonna do...one night, she came back upstairs with an entire package of bologna between two pieces of bread...she HATES bologna.....well, since we were told NOT to wake her, I let her eat it.  The look on her face the next morning when I told her what she'd done was great!!  Then there was the time, at age 16, that my dad had to go get her from the backyard......she was stark naked, (didn't sleep in jammies), outside, yelling at the dogs to be quiet!  He took a blanket outside, wrapped her up and pointed her toward the house......then next day, he told my mom that she had to tell Sis to start wearing something to bed.  I'm not sure who was more embarassed....Dad or Sis!

Me.....I'm full of stories like the ones mentioned......being ON the cell phone while looking for it....glasses on top of my head, keys in my hand......that sort of thing.  Sometimes, I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on tight!  How many of ya'll have gotten up from a chair, walked across the room, and can't remember WHY you got up?  Oh yeeeaaaaahhhhh....that would be me!

Trapped I can commiserate fully..on a bad day I ricochet off walls, the dogs, and just about anything and everything in my path thanks to neuropathy in my feet, and inner ear. Since I have little balance left via the ear canals I have to use my eyes to gauge the horizon meaning nothing can block my view of the floor. Here's the kicker..diabetic retinopathy is putting the kibosh on that bit by bit..I am back from needing glasses only to read (now a 325 magnification for books and  275 to work on my computer)and now need them to drive..but not to watch TV as my mid range is still holding. Somewhere my glasses are always hiding and I need glasses to find them.  I am currently training my big boy Komodo to act as a buffer as well as help me up and down. Did anyone see that house I walked into?

My biggest fear? Scene wise? that Master will lose the keys when I am cuffed somewhere. He can lose them in 5 seconds flat.
