Well... when I first joined the local scene... my then Dom and husband and I came up with subsassie_brat...
When I found myself creeping more toward the actions and feelings of a slave than a brat, I looked for a "slave name".... when we split up, I was watching the horses graze, and took the name of one of my all time favorites... Kazett... that lasted one day, as everyone said it was too masculine... so, I feminized it to "kazahleenah"....
This nick... well.. in talking with the Gorean couple I have been... they mentioned that if I were to be collared by them, they would change my name... one that I have had for many years... so I started using this one to "brace myself" for that thought. (amazing the dramatic effect a name change can have) I was/am known as kaza by both 'nilla and lifestyle friends alike.
Overall... I am known as kazahleenah though...... prolly always will be.

when i first came online i use to be angel eyes but i was tired of going into a room and seeing like 4 other angel eyes. wanted something unique that was me. i've always been called angel since i was in high school, i have a brother that is religious and his nick was Preacher. they took for granted i was miss goodie two shoes also so started calling me angel.....little did they know[;)] any way. one day i was kidding around and i was getting ready to go out while i was talking online and was wearing thigh highs...and decided to add that instead. lol everyone sorta flipped over the nick and said it was me.......so it stuck.

a funny little side note about high school. i was in another room one time and was talking to someone that was from the area i grew up in... laughs, we found out we went to high school together.

Well for Me the choice was made by another...

When I married the first time in 1976, I changed My first name, My birthname to S y l v i a (expanded so Googlers won't find it! You'll see why later) because I liked the name! When I got into the scene, I saw NO reason to change. In the Society of Janus and for years, I was Lady S y l v i a. Anyone wanting to read about My submissive and I in 1983-4, go find a copy of John Preston's book "My Life as A Pornographer. There, on 87 (first ed ppb) is the chapter he wrote about us. Under My original name. My slave and I have been together ever since. and I am re-entering the BDSM world.

Between the time I 'retired' to care for My grandmotherm dying of cancer, and the time I re-entered BDSM, My slave/sub got into an online confrontation with a psychotic! He hated animal rights and all who supported them and My sub was not ABOUT to back down, so he did the **usual** Net shit and accused her, Myself and anyone connected with us of... *sigh* yes, you guessed it... pedophilia!

As...FUCKING...IF!!! Had it ended there, we would have breathed a sigh of relief and gone on. But no, he then attempted to contact the State Department and also My submissive's son who is serving in Iraq! He got the police involved, got us thrown out of our church, listed with the police (who admitted it was probably all a joke anyway, but they "had to be safe") and attempted to get my sub and I both fired from our jobs, as well as..... well you get the picture! He nearly ruined My sub's life and did a fair bit of damage to Mine! Bastard.

Anyway, when I decided to come back into the scene, I could not use My original name. If he found Me *that* way, there would be holy Hell to pay as he is still out there. And the LAST thing a serving soldier in Iraq needs to hear is that his Mom is a collared slave to a deranged whipmistress etc etc! So I needed a new name. I settled on Sonelle because it is the feminine form of a name I gave to a character in one of My fiction novels. So I am now Lady Sonelle and all My monograms still work! :)

So, yes, sometimes a Dom/me changes names for reasons which have nothing to do with power or super hero fixation etc.

Heh! While I use regular print on the computer (albeit magnifiec) I also at times use text-to-speech software to speak out the screen to Me.

According to WindowEyes, you are "Shah-DED-duh-vah" spoken to rhyme with "Ahead of a"! Heeheeheeheehee!

But then I like the occasional mispronuncuations of my software. The word 'cockatiel' (COCK-uh-teel) is read as "Cuh-KAY-tee-ell" and Sonelle is "SONNA-lay"

Yes, I *could* fix it, but I'm having too much fun smiling at it!

My nick was given to me by some one along time ago. After a song by Good Charlotte. It just seemed to fit.

pure isn't a name its just simply me

Hmm, the name I go by isn't actually BabyBrat, it's Kiki, and that came about because I joined a forum on the net under that name, and there I was introduced the idea that I might really be into the kink lifestyle... and through that forum I met my first "proper" real time bdsm partner. And of course Hy called me Kiki as that's what Hy knew me as, and it just seemed to fit the new turn my life had taken.

BabyBrat came from the fact that I ageplay and I have to "inner kids" one's a baby (age 4) and the other is a complete Brat (age 12).

I chose this name almost a year ago now... Before this I just used a nilla nick, but this is my name from here on.. I've grown into it I think :)

The Northern part relates to where I am in the country (In the north!).. Phoenix, self explanatory really... I went through some not exactly good stuff in the BDSM world, online first, then again in real life (after I had chosen this name)... Chosen for the theme of rebirth, the rising from the ashes...

Some places I have a UK stuck on the end too, and do I really need to explain why? :P

I chose this name because i like the blues and all that i've ever talked to said my voice sounded like i was a southern bell....i disagree cuz i'm a cross between german and hillbilly lol.

i first got my name ocean from my email name. i did not want to use my real name. when i posted to my first group P/ppl responded to me as ocean. i loved it seemed to fit me. as T/they got to know me T/they A/all accepted me and said that the name was who i was and i agreed. ocean is who i am. my given name does not fit me i think that i was always ocean but did not realized it until i found my submissive side and this lifestyle. i am proud of who i am and what i am becoming this journey is wonderful and plan on growing and being the best ocean. and hopefully i will be closer to a real ocean one day lol i even prefer vanilla ppl call me ocean. my given name is so strange to me now.

My grandfather used to call me Scout because I reminded him of the girl from "To Kill A Mockingbird" -- earnest, headstrong and a little overfond of boys' clothes and fighting ;-) I revived it for online use because it now reflects my cautious approach to BDSM: this stuff can be dangerous so my natural curiosity and enthusiasm have to be tempered with common sense and very real concerns about health and safety. As a result, I try to be careful about checking out the lay of the land before moving forward, and that naturally includes using an alias. I've recently modified my nick to "scoutsprogress" for two reasons: first, because I've covered alot of good ground since I started my "travels" a couple of years ago (thanks to all of you who have helped me along the way!), and second, as a quick tip o' my hat to the always engaging Liaden Universe books by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller (great SF stuff -- check it out if you haven't yet!).

All of your stories are interesting!

i devised my own screen name years ago, the phoenix is a mythical bird that rises from it's own ashes, and i feel that (not to be too melodramatic) life has screwed me several times but i just keep getting back up. As i like to say, "God keeps trying to kill me, and failing" [;)] The 52 is there because i believe there is another phoenix on the system, i always liked the number 52.

i just use my first name, shannon, in public play, both because it's not too rare, and because i dont' have a career or anything that could be destroyed by a public "outing". In the next year i should graduate from school,and my Master should be promoted to management at this work, and we have agreed we will start using scene names then: phoenix and Pan.

I chose the name nella fantasia. I heared the song and i love it so i set out to find out what the words mean. It means somthing like going into the fantasy. That is werry fitting for both the way i see D/s and the way i look at life in general.

My name is Jerry. After I finished my period of Mentoring by Lord Cuff and Lord Titan, I assumed the title of Master; so everyone calls me Master Jerry. Their mentoring focused on the emotional connection (loving) that must exist in a D/s relationship so I chose LovingMaster. I added the 45 because the combination of those numbers is lucky.... thus LovingMaster45.

Well though I thought it wasn't going to take a genius to figure it out, I still get asked by many "What does FangsNfeet mean?" Sheesh, I've been using this name for years and there are only 5 who knew what it meant. I have a biteing foot fettish. Fangs as in "TEETH", N as in "IN" Feet as in "a foot or pair of feet" FangsNfeet a name that's simple and to the point.

I chose my name willing2serve aka willing2serve1 because I am very new on my submissive journey.... learning, growing, self-discovering, enduring behavioral changes trying to reveal the slave within. So I am willing 2 serve and when i find and know the One Master, The master of my soul, my breath and my being, only willing 2 serve 1.
