Palin was condescending not to mention arrogant as hell. Her looks did not make up for her ignorance and flip attitude.

Kennedy is shy, she does not parade herself as the next anything. She'll get over some of her shyness but she has humility, famous name or not.

I am waiting to see what happens but I betcha--Kennedy will be someone we are proud to have in office and Palin....I hope she goes back to moose hunting.

Sage.

Exactly. She came out fightin' mean and dirty from Day One, the self-styled "pit bull with lipstick." And that's fine; it's a perfectly legitimate political persona. Trouble is, if you're going to dish it out, you'd better make sure you can take it first, because the people you're fucking with are probably not going  to like you and they're gonna come right back atya with the same ammunition. And all she and her supporters have ever done is whine about how mean everyone is who picks on her.

Fuck 'er. She chose the weapons, now she lives with her choice. I have absolutely no sympathy for the arrogant, ignorant, condescending, lying piece of trailer trash. Let her roast in the spotlight; I'll laugh my ass off at every single Sarah Palin story that comes out from now until the reporters and the prosecutors are  done carving up the corpse.

ArticMaestro -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 7:50:54 PM)

Interesting thing about the story you mention owner59, it's bullshit.  http://juneauempire.com/stories/010709/sta_374785261.shtml  Just a corrupt Union member, lying for political reasons, while on the clock using state equipment.  He wasn't even directly on the case, as he falsely claimed.  He should be losing his job soon.

Blue Panda, I find it interesting that you seem to think Palin going after her political rivals durring an election, is the same as fucking with the press, but we all pretty much know that.

Every thinking person is very aware that the job of the VP involves more than the basic Constitutional break ties in the senate and take over if the POTUS dies.  The VP works on duties as assigned by the POTUS, everyone of them, and allways has.  Gore reinvented government, and was in charge of Hi Tech promotion, among many other things.  Palin's question was absolutly legitimate.

We understand that you all hate her, because she actually worked her way into politics on her own, not by being tied to and willing to let her husband cheat on her in public.  Everyone knows, it is unarguable, that the only reason Hillary was a Senator or was a contender for Pres, is her husband.  She got power by riding her man and being a good wifey.  Not by her own skills.

So hate on Palin all day.  Tell lies about her.  Fake quotes "God wants us in Iraq".  "I can see Russia from my house"..It just tells us about you.

slvemike4u -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:03:15 PM)

Artic no need to tell lies on poor Sarah,all one need do is sit back and wait for her to exspose her own limitations by sitting for interviews or otherwise speaking without benefit of a script.

ArticMaestro -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:05:35 PM)

Then why all the lies from your side, slvemike?  Owner59 is telling one in this thread.

slvemike4u -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:08:48 PM)

Please Artic,we prefer to call them legends....born of fact tweaked just a bit for comedic purposes.
But seriously if you believe this train wreck is actually the future of the Republican Party.......The Democrats will be running things for the forseeable future.

ArticMaestro -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:18:12 PM)

Oh, it's a little early to be writting the future....If the Democrats don't get it together real quick, or do a repeat of 92, people might take a closer look at the folks (including supposedly credible journalists) who like to tell "legends".

slvemike4u -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:21:02 PM)

Should not those on the Republican side be doing more than rooting for the incoming Administration to fall on their face.Like finding some credible new blood to run in 2012...or will you guys just run out that same old tired bunch of losers(Hukabee,Guiliani,Romney and Palin)

ArticMaestro -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:34:00 PM)

We will decide that in 3 years.  Who is rooting for them to fall on thier face.  Just pointing out that the Congressional Democrat leaders are coming out opposed to his cabinet choices, and Stimulus plan.   And the left is furious at the speaker for his innaguration.  A lot of people seem to think he is going to change policy vis a vi Isreal, which is going to have a lot of people that voted for him very angry come Jan 21.  And rank amatuers like Panetta.  It just has the makings of a cluster fuck worse than Carter.  It is the left and Democrats who are making the most opposition to him...

DarkSteven -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:49:52 PM)

I actually feel sorry for her.  If she had a few more years of seasoning before being thrust out into the national stage, she might have learned more polish, learned the issues, and understood the importance of propriety.  She's now a national figure and I don't think she'll ever learn.

ArticMaestro -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:52:15 PM)

You know Dark, I also thought she was too green to go for the VP.  It was a risk.  Maybe she will bounce back, maybe not.  She's not out yet though.

Roselaure -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 8:53:45 PM)

Yes, hatin' on the Kennedy's, I'm sure they're all quite used to it by now.  But let's spell her name right, shall we?  It's C-A-R-O-L-I-N-E

She not only believes it; this is as it is. Why does not press play over and over princess Caroline interview clips. Because it was embarrassing and demonstrated she is not qualified for the position. USA is best described as plutocracy.

corysub -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 9:58:34 PM)

I don't know...maybe it's just me...but I can feel the love so many here have for Sarah Palin.

One has to also be impressed with the level of intelligence common through these threads...people differing in their political views, but articulate and civil in discourse when all over the net there are chat venues where personal attacks on people prevail.  At least on CM there is none of the sophmoric name calling using words like  ignorant, whore, hillbilly trash, obnoxious...etc.   We can to agree to disagree on the political leanings of a woman like Sarah, a wife, mother of five, recent grandmother, and Governor of her State...  We all know that Gov. Palin worked her way through six years of college withhout the benefit of a trust fund. Sure, the University of Idaho is not Radcliff but what school is like Radcliff?  Can we ever forgive her...some would say no..but not here.

I've read posts by people elsewhere who describe Sarah as "trailer trash" when we all know that she lives in a pretty nice, if not opulent,  house on a lake,  and she and the "first dude" fly their seaplane to favorite fishing holes.  It is true that she does love to hunt and fish, activities sophisticated people  in Manhattan, Beverly Hills and Allentown, Pa.  know a woman certainly should not participate..all that blood and stuff...yuck!  ....

Thankfully there is no discussion of Sarah actually "doing in life what she preaches"...another a political  flaw and, some would say, weakness in her character. She went to term in her pregnancy to Trig even though he was diagnosed with challanges in the womb, but  killing her son would have violated her strong principles and religious beliefs (again, a major weakness in a politician).  Now that really must have pissed off Planned Parenthood in her denial of everything they believe in and preach.  Don't y'all agree  ...  it's truly outrageous for a person to have such strong beliefs in this country?  She must have never heard of those most important words ...you must be "politically correct"!

It's also obvious that people here really miss Sarah being on stage every day.  The offical URL for the State of Alaska might be helpful and ward off those painful withhdrawal side affects.  Hey, maybe you can even send her a note...I'm sure she would appreciate your thoughts.

They are.

The press is making fun of her tic and her lack of experience.

Her poll numbers in NY are falling.

I think the Palin-pouters need to find a different excuse for her many shortcomings.

The "media did it" thingy is as old as dirt and super lamo.

Palin lost because she is in fact, a loser.

Yes, the only person of the 4 that had *actual* executive branch experience was "too green".

Palin's biggest flaw is she allowed herself to be associated with McCain.

I disagree. Palin brought a little life into McCain campaign, McCain was the main factor and loser. It is not that I want to idealize Palin. McCain would have been a little better off by choosing Romney. Still, the result would have been the same: Obama had twice the money, media support and obviouly much better organized campaign.

       Not so much social class as political affiliation, IMO, but are you suggesting they are receiving the same standards of judgement?  Because that suggestion is pure poppycock.

And she can see Russia from her porch.[8|]

How is it that America could get such a wrong impression of the woman if she`s so scary talented?

Ah yes. The media did it......Wow,that was easy.[:D]

I love the "McCain was the problem,not Sarah" comments.LMAO.... That`s rich.Thanks[:D] [:D]

If McCain had picked Condi or Olympia Snow or the Senator from Texas(her name escapes me)he would have had a fighting chance.Palin was a disaster.Remember it was McCain who wow the primary.Then came Sarah.

If McGrampa had picked a male version of Sarah,HE would have been roasted just as much.Palin couldn`t even answer the simplest question or speak un-scripted.She did nothing but call people names and scare people.

If a male had been as lame as Sarah was,the same thing would have happened.

Palin made Dan Quayle look smart.
