Mine comes from the last line of a Mary Oliver poem--"What I have learned so far." The full line is tattooed on my foot. I got it after coming out of a particularly rough period. It's a reminder to myself that I don't want to waste my life in that type of headspace again.

And I remember you from before.  I kinda followed your posts...in a very unstalkery way :)  So I figured yours was just about what you said.

My nickname is one I used in chatrooms.  At the time I was single, so sblady seemed fitting (single black lady).  I enjoy the fact that it was an easy transition as many assumed the "s" meant submissive and thus my intro to D/s relationships.

When I receive mail from individuals with certain nicknames, I'm almost too afraid to read the message.  Though it's rare that messages received from those with "way out there" nicknames are indicative of the actual person.  Thank goodness!!

I typed in Lynx... and Cm wouldn't take it. Lynn, Lynnx were also out.... the rest is just a frustrated keyboard bang.

There was a ridculous fellow who posted on another group forum I belong to demanding the highest levels of respect form the outset. None of us knew him from Adam's cat.

So we gave him what for. Respect must be earned kind of stuff. Can't get respect for just self assigning a title of "Lord," or "Master."

I sent him a rather lengthy response along those lines. My salutation was "Most sincerely, Sir Lord Knight Master Dom Glenn." Yes, we all really howled on that one.

In the end he went away and none of us ever heard from him again.

I'd not given myself a nick up to that point and everyone simply knew me as Glenn. But several weeks after that incident I decided I wanted one. I'd shot myself in the foot in terms of a "Lord" type name. So I mused on it for a few weeks. One day "Uncle Nasty" just kind of popped into my mind. It made me chuckle as it poked some fun at all of those that seem to take themselves too seriously (don't we all iknow some of them?). I liked that aspect. I liked that I'd never heard of another Uncle Nasty. So I adopted it, or it me.

Uncle Nasty (and if that makes you grin, giggle or chuckle or little that's OK - one of the intentions in fact)

I chose the Kyttyn part because I was fairly young, but I also tend to be kinda playful and curious at times.  I added the y's because everyone and their brother was Kitten this, Kitten that.

The mynx part is just part of who I am within the right circumstances (also spelled with a y, because minx was too common and it fit better with the y.)

My last Master hated my old nick as it didn't really suit me very well so he started looking for a new one. When someone suggested this one and said what it meant (which she was wrong) it caught his attention. Soon after I looked it up and found the acutally meaning and when i shared it with him he liked it even more for the symbolism behind it. At the time I was not very happy to be named after a cup, but as time has passed it has become cherished to me not only because he gave it to me but also because I learned a lesson about inital reactions.

I created this account so I could ask a question on the forums. I didn't want to use my other, 'real' account incase the person the question was about read the boards. So, that explains the stupidity of this username -- I didn't think I'd be using it after that.
I actually like parakeets a lot though. I just typically wouldn't use it as my username. haha

Mine is a reference to one of my favorite artists - Hieronymus Bosch. Years ago I was a musician and got to travel through Spain. We were drinking in a bar outside of Barcelona called 'The Dreams', and every wall had these HUGE Bosch paintings. Left quite the impression.

Most people that ask about it now just snicker at me though. They think I work on cars or something.

I agree with you...they usually aren't indicative but I'd never write to one with an extreme first.

I was supposed to have been named Aileen, but my parents changed their minds after I was born.  They named me after my dad instead, the youngest of four daughters, no sons.  1968 was the year I was born.

on other sites I'm known variously as this name, Greedy BOttom, or AgonyIsEcstasy.

I wanted to use the Agony name here, but it was already taken (by someone I believe was trying to mess with me, but I cant prove it).

I think the Greedy names are fairly self-explanatory..lol

Add me to teh list of those that tend to stay away from the extreme names..

The word "pact" is a strong one and carries with it the implications of devotion, loyalty, and commaradarie. It's a good thing to have as part of making a first impression.

Thank you.  I hope it comes across that way.
