takes a strong man to stand up and speak like this!  this for sure is not too popular a stance in Hollywood!

I don't want to be too horrible about him, but somehow, I don't think there was much inside his head to begin with, so after a few too many knock-outs... and far too much plastic surgery (have you seen his face? God almighty!) ... it's no surprise there should be close to nothing left in there. Or just enough to make a few ridiculous public statements...

Not necessarily strong... I personally feel much of what is quoted in the short article is just plain idiotic.

It's never taken a genius to be a good actor...........or a lousy president.

I think it is a Proud American who stands behind his President no matter what. I am Proud to call Micky Rourke an American.

Obama is not my CHOICE for Presidenty but he IS my President and when things go bad under HIS reign (And the Will) I won't be happy with him, I may be upset with him, but ultimatly he is My President and I will stand behind him in that.

I think everyone DOES give Bush too much Credit because the President CAN'T just go any do what he wants toom There is a Congress that he eventually has to run things through, but none the less this ONE man isn't responsible for what is going on in the world.

As for Mickey Rourke, it takes a fine American to Stand behind the President even being as unpopular as he is. Now as for the things he said about the UK and free speech I think that was the mistake, an American speaking against one of the finer points of our nation when practiced in another country that was rather sketchy.

The Funny thing is I wonder what will be said about Obama in 8 years. Will his Shine continue to Glow or will it Fade as it does with MOST presidents?

A fine American or a really stupid one.

This is America, being an American means we have freedom and right to NOT support whatever current putz, the masses have elected.

I refuse to be patriotized, into following whatever herd is currently cool. If being a cool American means supporting a president I think is a putz, then I refuse to be cool. The military tried to shame me into it over this fiasco in the middle east when my family members went off to serve and they were unsuccessful. Mickey fuckedupface and GDub are not going to convince me either.

Obama's star won't fade nearly as much, for obvious reasons, some of which have to do with the spectral sensitivity of the eye's light receptors.

i understand why Mickey would say something like that and it's his opinion.  He makes some decent points through the ramble, which i mostly disagree. But Bush didn't control what happened and he got stuck in a bad time in our history though he could have picked a better choice and less...paranoid and judgemental acts and laws, he is ours whether we like it or not. But now there is Obama and maybe he will change the perception others have of our country and how our country views their own leader.

I don't quite know what you're saying there... that Bush isn't responsible for his own actions? He's certainly not 'ours', and definitely not 'mine' - LaTigresse explained this very, very clearly.

I was blown away when I saw him on the awards. I'm really good with faces and recognizing people, but I would have never identified him! Nope no way, and dayum he looks odd to put it nicely. I'd like to see a side by side comparison of his before and after....

What i meant is that he doesn't control everything that happens in the world especially since we are now like the wal mart on the global scale.  He is responsible for his own actions just like everyone else and i said he could've made better ones, should have made better ones instead of the ones he did. I'm just saying he didn't ask for it.

and in terms of being "our" president it was strictly in terms of the basic fact he was elected twice by the american people(well once really). Believe me i disagree with Bush and glad to see him go. But he's a part of our history and you can't ignore it so i think its better to fix what he has done with our new president.

Sorry if i offended you kittinSol
