I did a mini search but the only topic I found was from 06 so I decided to try making a new 09 one to get some feedback.

I want to learn more about male chastity. And websites that discuss the different use of devices as well as how they function in day-to-day life. How the men react to it, how well they work under clothing, how long they can actually be worn, etc. And perhaps any book titles to look for as back up.

This is more something I'd be interested in. The reviews are good but say one can get out of it.

Any other recommendations (preferably not expensive nor with any piercings) would be loved. I'm mainly just looking for info or where to find the info but any real life experiences would help too.

Google takes quite a knack to use, sometimes.  The phrase has to be just right and sometimes you have to set it to search for the whole phrase in order to avoid ten million, mostly useless, results.  For instance, I got much better returns by using "buy chastity devices" than just "chastity devices" just now - not just in terms of where to buy them, but how to use them.

As has been noted in the thread Dildos and Chastity, it is possible for a man to orgasm in a chastity device, though doing so probably won't be very satisfying.  It's probably best to consider them as preventing erections rather than orgasms.

It's probably also the case that any chastity device that can comfortably be worn for extended lengths of time is escapable.  Do you trust your sub not to touch his cock if you tell him not to.  At the very least, do you trust him to do nothing more than forget himself and occasionally touch his cock or give it a stroke or two?  If you can't trust him to do that, at least, I'm not sure a chastity device is a good idea anyway.

So, what are my `qualifications' for saying all this?  I've worn a CB3000 for most of the last thirteen months or so.  By `most of', I mean that I've been allowed out of it for maybe an hour or two a couple of times a week, and for a couple of periods of up to a few days.  But, apart from those exceptions, I've worn it all the time.  If you've met me at any time since December last year, I was probably wearing the CB at the time.  While I've been with my Mistress, she's had the keys.  Most of the time, I'm not with her (she's in the US and I'm in the UK) so I have a key.

Once I got the right length pin and the right sized ring sorted out, I've not had any comfort issues.  The CB3000 is visible under tight jeans but not so much otherwise.  The CB6000 is a little larger so I guess it would be slightly more visible.  It's possible to urinate standing up while wearing it, but you probably wouldn't want to unless you're at a beer festival and there's a huge queue for the stalls -- it's good to have some paper handy to wipe it clean afterwards.  It can be washed reasonably well in the shower while wearing it but I still find it gets a bit smelly after about a week of continuous wear.  The longest I've worn it without a break is, I think, about two weeks.

I usually wear it without the `points of intrigue' (stupidest name ever).  When directed, I wear the small or the medium ones.  The medium ones are quite usually pretty painful when I try to get hard against them; we've not tried the longest ones very much, yet.  I find that the medium ones, in particular, become uncomfortable-in-a-bad-way after a few days by rubbing little sore spots onto my cock.  They're described by the manufacturer as making it harder to escape from the CB which is probably true but I don't think they're suitable for extended use, which rather negates the point of that.

That's all I can think of to say for the time being but I'm happy to answer questions.

Edited to say that I've just looked at the stallion guard thing you linked and I wouldn't bother.  I used to own something similar and, while it was fun to wear, it just wouldn't stay on (it would fall off as soon as I got soft) and it couldn't be worn under clothes because it stuck straight out, even when I was soft.

If you like the cbx000 style but want to touch the skin, get a 2000. They're discontinued now I think, which also means they're on sale. It's also quite a bit smaller than the 6000, or so I've been told. The bars on the cage are wide enough apart to get a small fingertip into, or say...nails, or a wartenburg wheel. I got the 2000 this week, and for the most part when wearing it under jeans you can barely tell it's there. The trick for that though is getting the smallest ring / spacer combination that you can handle, which allows the whole unit to tuck down further between your legs. I find it possible to pull out of when I'm soft, though impossible if I'm the slightest bit aroused. Even when I pull out I can't get a proper erection because of the pressure the unit against my penis. My experiment with that gave a very unsatisfying orgasm. If I do manage to work myself into a smaller fit then it's possible that will get rid of the pullout problem. (though, since I hold my own key pullout really isn't that much of a problem lol)

It really is quite comfortable once you get the right combination of ring and spacer. I slept in it last night and it didn't bother me in the slightest.

The 2000, 3000 etc refer to the actual size of the piece or do they actually reflect different model makes? Is there a "better" one, like say a more recent one having "updates" an earlier one did not have. The CB ones seem to be the most popular, are they better/worse compared to the steel ones? The steel ones look uncomfortable to me...but then again without actually having a penis I still find it hard to picture the info given about how the plastic CB ones, despite hearing they're comfortable they look bulky. I guess that is one thing I will never know first hand. lol

I'm assuming penis size also affects which one you buy.

I am told that the cb6000 isn't the best one for those men who are large.  I was told it was smaller than the cb3000 and less comfortable for the larger cock.  You can look at the sites that sell them and look for reviews of them.  I found you can get a lot of information from the men actually wearing them, all in one shot.  I have only seen the cb3000 in person and in use.

I won't use a chastity for long term use for a couple of reasons.  One, unless the man is being milked, it isn't healthy and could risk cancer.  Then there is an aspect of men losing desire for sex altogether and not being able to perform if they are in constant chastity.  You can do a search right here at CM where people talk of some form of these things.

Well, as was mentioned, it would probably be long term like a week with periods of it being off and such. For fun and training. So now I hear about CB 2000 and 3000...perhaps it'd be best to get one for the long term and one for just fun. The Kali's Teeth one looks great for a day of torture, I'm going to have to add that to my mental wish list.

Primarily, they're different models, though they're also different sizes.  The 2000 is quite small and also fiddly to put on because it has a solid ring to go behind the balls, which everything needs to be manhandled through.  It does, however, have the most open design of the CB range.  The 3000 is a little bigger but is a closed cage (with vents) and has a hinged ring that opens out to make it easier to put on.  The 6000 appears to be similar but, instead, has a two-part ring which avoids the problem of the hinge being uncomfortable for some people.  (It's not caused me any problems).  There's also The Curve, which is for the more well-endowed gentleman and has the same hinged ring as the 3000.

The articles at Tickleberry might be helpful.  They also sell chastity devices of various kinds.  (I have no association with this company and, since I have never bought anything from them, I'm not in a position to comment on their service and so on.)

Honestly we've tried them all.
We have several different version of the CBX00. He can pull out of them. We've tried them with a piercing so far two different piercings and they don't work.
We have two Lori Tubes...again even with the piercing not long term.
We have the Houdni which isn't long term.
We have several home made ones.
And a plastic belt one which had promise but still needs tons of modifications.

The biggest question is the cock you are locking up. If he's a shower not a grower than you can use most of the above. If he's a grower and starts SMALL...then none of the above will work even with a piercing and you'll need to go to a full belt.

You can be skeptical if you like... but let me tell you... with my nick, I have to fight the guys off begging me to do it.  My nick is not for chastity... but of course most think it is.  I am constantly asked to be a keyholder... asked if my nick means chastity lock up and the like.  I know many who have worn them for very long periods of time at the request or order of their dominant.

She gets to control when I get hard, which is more than I can do, even consciously.  It works very well with a tease and denial dynamic.

It's highly possible and does occur, my own sub has experienced this - to correct this issue he is now fitted with a kallis chastity unit which allows the head freedom but inside the inner ring that slots around the penis are a row of steel pins which can be screwed in to prevent erection as the pain endured is unpleasant to say the least. In my experience with chastity, using the points of intrigue or other such customisable device that's small enough to slot into the device is the only way to prevent withdrawal of the penis itself. I really would recommend having a person pierced and a customised steel device made to cater for the PA to prevent withdrawal, and as been said previously, it is important that regular washing/vaselining is allowed to prevent problems.

I think it's a bad idea to use a device like this over any extended period of time.  Associating arousal with intense pain is just a form of aversion therapy that seems likely to convince your sub that he doesn't want to get turned on by anything.

The pins are adjustable according to the purpose of situation.  If we go by your logic, any form of chastity device could have this effect as there are cases documented where men have had trouble maintaining or even gaining an erection from prolonged CB use... These are in the minority. To clarify, I would not have my boy in a Kallis long-term, it is for use when he is in my personal care for the evening/night and returns to other more PRACTICAL forms of chastity at other times. In my opinion, there is no ideal form of chastity for a person unless they are pierced and have a device made to their specifications and taking into consideration their piercing.

It was not my intention to allude to such. Even when (and prior to Reality coming into my life) I had kept a person in chastity long-term, they were always required to remove it frequently to allow for cleaning purposes, etc...

I pretty much have to agree with everything said by beeble

I am myself have a CB3000 which I love and pretty much experiment for short term chasity max being 7 days without taking it off; 2weeks taking it off every other day to clean then right back on.  This month of February i plan on going for a month now that I have a trust kinky friend i can give the key too. And both the Tickleberry website and ChasityLifestyle are full of information and hints and tips to be better prepared for long term wear.

As for the belt limiting me to get hard I have noticed that with the points of intrigue it does suppress me from getting hard as much with the belt and the first day after without the belt. As to the original poster: The CB#000 is more of a long term belt suited for long term chasity and less let's play with chasity in the scene like the stallion guard...A cheap alternative would be mental chasity which is free

In my day to day life in my belt I kind of begin to forget about it after a day or two and it becomes normal to me....It is much more a constant reminder of your position and in someways I joke that it is easier than mental chasity. So I guess it is a tool for those disobedient that they can't listen to their dominant.

I love my chasity belt definitely my favorite toy in my small collection
