i am a near fatal incident at work. Being born a slave but having a job as a barrister has meant that i have to remain professional at work, however it was only today that i wrote out a letter and executed it as, "yours sincerely, born4serving"!! this was a professional letter and it was only until i printed it that i noticed what i had put, my slave name.  Its a good thing i quickly changed it.

this came as a shock to me but yet i think it is a sign telling me how much of a slave i really am.

Or that you were seriously daydreaming.

You're spending too much time on the internet if you're signing your screen name to work documents.

I am not sure what makes the incident nearly fatal, though certainly potentially embarrassing for you were folks at work to google it and access your CM posts.
Certainly one could get all Freudian here and speak about your subconscious desires, etc.
Or, as coloured in said, perhaps you were seriously daydreaming.
Hopefully, you caught the error before it was sent out and no harm is done.
What do you propose to do about your realization of "how much a slave I really am"?

For me, it doesn't show just how 'slave' you are but that you are spending too much time in online BDSM environments.

Since it's damn hard to distinguish between the pronunciations 'You' and 'you' in actual conversation, I'd say that the dark is pretty much dead on.

Besides... signing the wrong name on a piece of paper seems strangely non-fatal to me.

Hmm see I cant imagine ever signing my screen name on anything really, I dont think it prooves anything other than writing it too much (hense being online too much) oh and i dont think the.darkness mentioned anythong about insanity.

I solved this problem by having my name legally changed to "Red Magic One" after I made 1,000 posts.  It surprised my friends and colleagues at first, but now they recognize it as a sign of my true dominant nature.

Is this what being a "twue slave" is all about?

as others have said.. its more about spending way too much being your online persona... whatever that is... and its hardly revealing yourself publically

I once worked with a couple of executives - CEO and CFO.  The CFO signed all internal memos to the CEO with his name, followed by YLOS.  I once asked what that meant.  He said, "Your loyal and obedient servant."  While he was doing this with humorous sarcasm, I still loved it.

You know, when I first started doing the D/s chatroom thing and the Y/you thing, I would, on occasion, accidentally type the slashy speak when composing an office memo.  I always caught it and corrected it, but I believe it's just your brain not adjusting quickly enough for circumstances & environment.  While at work, focus on work, and the odds of this happening are reduced significantly.
