I just read another profile on CM  from a dominant women.  She of course was looking for a slave to serve her.  About 2/3 of the way through her profile of describing what she wanted in a slave, she said, that she was involved with a dominant male and of course dominant males don't cater to females as they are real men....  This is not the first time I have read this.
That kind of got me wondering how many other women on this board feel this way.  Do you believe that "real men" don't cater to women?  Or in order to be a "real man" you have to be a dominant male?
Kind of makes me wonder what the hell I am?

Some submissive men like to be told they're not real men or that they're weak or what have you. In my opinion, its kind of like the "good girl" who develops a rape fantasy. If she's "forced" to do naughty things, its not really her fault and she's more free to enjoy herself. A submissive guy who gets off on being compared to dominant men in that way can sit there and tell himself, "Its okay for me to be submissive because clearly I am not a real man. If I were a real man, I wouldn't cater to that woman but I'm not a real man so the only thing left for me to do is accept my fate."

Some women like those submissive men.

I would say that chances are, you're not like those men so don't worry about it. You're just as real as anyone else.

Maybe SOME dominant males don't.  Maybe some DO.  I'm sure she doesn't personally know EVERY dominant male in the world well enough to say what they ALL do.  Sounds pretty ignorant to me.

Since you're wondering how I feel, here it is:  Catering to a woman doesn't make a man not a "real man."  Some of the "realest," best men I know love catering to women.  And I totally ditto what yourhandmyass said about a "real man" not letting anyone else tell him what to do.  Those statements sound like they're coming from yet another ill-informed bigoted woman shooting her mouth off to try and sound "dominant."  Wonder if she knows "real" women don't act like that[8|]...............luci

A 'real man' to  me, is one who is kind to children, animals, and anyone weaker than he is.   He is someone who is true to himself, but not a racist or abuser - of any kind.  He is emotionally secure, has honour and integrity, and takes care of his obligations - ones he has created, not necessarily those imposed upon him.  A real man doesn't need to shout it, nor prove it, other than being who he is.

Steponme73, the only thing about you I would change is your profile name. You are most definitely a real man, if you can embrace your submissive nature.

There is honor, strength and nobility, in submission (male or female) IMHO.
