I've often thought of using lint in a quilt as embellishments - especially since different dryer loads produce different colours. [:D]

What I like is when you do a load of laundry, and don't empty the lint out.  Then, then next load, you empty it.  When you look at it, it's a differant color on one side than it is on the other.  It's really neat! hahaha!  DC, I just lub you! lol

what if the poor birds get allergies from the lint, then you have a bunch of sneezing birds!

my Girl Scouts used to make fire starter kisses - small pieces of waxed paper wrapped around dryer lint with candle bits - twist the ends like a candy wrapper.  Put them in the stack of wood and light the end of the waxed paper.

When I first saw this thread, I thought someone else had started it.  When I realized it was you, DC, I was expecting something more along the lines of seeing the virgin mary in your dryer lint!!  But that might just be the ativan talking.

I've made paper with dryer lint.  Pretty!

Actually, I'm wondering if anyone has managed to spin something like dryer lint into yarn.  I bet you could get some interesting variations in the colors.

<goes in basement. Finds out about lint filter, retrieves about three metric tons of lint.

Now what am I going to do with all this lint ? Hey maybe filler for a quilt would be an idea. Have to call sis, I think she has one of those newfangled errr, things that sew things, sewing machine ?

Maybe I should consider some lifestyle changes in light of this. I could just wear my clothes wet, but it's cold around here. Well maybe I could cover them with the lint ?

Or I could make a fire with the lint and hang up the clothes to dry, down in the basement of course. Wait, there's something I'm forgetting about that, now what was it ? Oh yeah, burning the house down. OK next idea.

Sis is not answering, I know, I got these huge bags. They literally fell off a truck, and no I did NOT steal them, I almost ran into them with my car and removed them from the middle of the road. They were a hazard, so I get the bags. Only problem is they say "DANGEROUS HAZARDOUS WASTE". That shouldn't bother people much. How many people know how to read these days anyway ? Or I could turn them inside out.

Dammit, I just tripped on this stuff, right into the big pile. Wow, this stuff is cushy. Maybe I could sell it to people who make cushy things, like couches and Cadillacs and stuff.

I smell a business opportunity here, too bad my next load won't be in for about seven years.
