ORIGINAL: dcnovice Anyone else have interesting experiences with dryer lint? Sometimes I find cat hair in mine. I do loads of blacks, loads of reds and orange, loads in shades of blue, and ones that are mostly whites. I empty the lint after every load...and the funny thing that happens sometimes is that I get two layers of colors...a gray layer of cat hair, and then the color of the load. I guess the cat hair is blown off first. I love it when I find a large whisker in the lint. I'm weird, I save cat whiskers and have a collection that goes back over ten years. Maybe closer to 17 years. I have a lot of fabric in the house, and one time a tub fell over and broke open and I didn't know about it for a while. One of the cats yakked up a furball on some netting I had (it had gold glitter in it)...so I washed it in a lingerie zip bag with other white things and the lint was white with lots of gold sparkles. [:D] I also buy feather dusters for the cats to attack and mutilate (last time it looked like a technicolor chicken exploded on my bed). Sometimes a bit of brilliantly colored feather is trapped in the dryer lint.
