I did exactly the same, Lady H. I became involved in the forums, used CM as a means to keep in touch with friendships that had formulated through this site (thank goodness for CM!) and I put out of my mind any conscious thought of finding a submissive partner to share my life with. Yet that underlying optimism was still there whenever someone I didn't know would write to me. I think the moment Reality did come into my life was when I stopped looking at every submissive that did write as potential relationship material lol

What makes me stay here is nothing. I choose to stay here because of the friends I've made, and the opportunites to expand my mind on a variety of topics.

The forum community keeps me here.....I liked the chatrooms when I was younger nut after having a recent experience in one I find that they have turned to be extremely rude and people who start a chat room believe they are god gift

What keeps me here is the hope of meeting the right sub. Ok I know it's unlikely but I still hope. I like taking part in the message boards constantly looking for feedback. I think the problem with communication is that a lot of human beings think in stereotypes. A Domme is this a sub is that a slave is that. We are all different. I love testosterone lol. I have far more of it than most women and I find it very hard to control. So I have a great deal of empathy for men. I find physical work helps. I don't seem to be able to make friends lol. I have lots of aquaintances but no friends. I'm too different I think. But I keep hoping.

I had a submissive tell me recently... how dare they (domina's) not love me when I offered so much. Then he proceeded to tell me how we were fated after talking a couple days... I tell him to go away and he comes to the boards... I do a background search on him... whoa... domestic... stalking... all convictions. A woman needs to have some way of knowing who she is dealing with and to present clueless... and sexual... without social skills or any respect at all... well... we have to have a gauge. So if we are a bit impatient... jaded... or simply cautious... we need understanding too. We can't confuse the bad with the good... yet it is hard not to at times... but I think most of us do try.
