Ok I am not sure this is on point. If it is not I apologise. I am not in any way a financial Domme, however, isn't that different from being pampered? I have slaves that love to spoil and pamper Me. I do not request it, they just love to do it. W/we have long term relationships, love each other, and they love to spoil Me, and I am also very good to them. I do know there is a $ fetish and that is quite different, but money is such a powerful dynamic..... it evokes so many different emotions. When I have a new applicant I do require tribute. For Me its a protocol, a ritual if you will. It is nothing big, it is the ritual that I like, the ability of the slave to kneel before Me and present their token of gratitude. Also sometimes I like to have fun with it. Example: I had a large really good looking macho male slave applying to Me. he was very proud of his BMW motorcycle, and wanted to drive it the 2 hours to come and see Me and show it off to Me. My tribute that week was a 24 pack of toilet paper!! LOL he had to strap it onto his macho machine and drive it all the way down on the back of his bike!! OMG did that amuse the heck out of Me. I can also tell you it had a profound effect on him. So, to conclude, I think it's all a matter of degrees, and agreements, kinks, and dogmas. FM~

Wow - this thread has answered a lot of MY questions. It never occurred to me to consider such a thing as a (for lack of a better word) fetish. Painting with broad brush strokes for just a moment - it sounds like some nature of financial cuckoldry. (in my head it made sense - I'm sure someone will point out the flaw in my thinking)

Well, one thing which is correct about your thoughts is that neither party is exhibiting "good relationship" skills. Even the proponents of femdom gifiting indicate that "no relationship," "distance," "inadequacy," "inattainability," and "superiority" are elements of the "thrill." When I marry what the proponents and you say together what's left is a kind of scene-based, real life pornography --- the domme being in the scene for reward (the capitalist) and the sub being it for sexual excitement (masturbation.) Its both a transactional and subject-object relationship, i.e. quite porn-like. In the end you have material sexuality between alienated partners. This might naturally be the end game for the porn-trained mind with a fat wallet and low self esteem (or a case of Goddess Worship, which seems similar to celebrity worship.)

LadyH, I am just trying to understand how you could have a wish list on Amazon and have an adoring slave from across the country (that perhaps you didn't want knowing your real name and address) get it from Amazon to you. Perhaps there is something I am missing in this cycle.

Personally, I don't believe most of them are getting so much as a pecan roll from Stuckey's. But yeah, they can get all sorts of things safely.
