7 hours later…. xrays, lab work, ultrasound etc, all tests show she toasted her knee pretty good but no microfractured bones and no blood clots. The swelling ankle is fluid build up and gravity pulling it down her leg from her knee. The doctor says, “3 weeks off her feet”. Getting off her feet has been the standing order around here but just today while I was working on the 3rd floor, she was washing all the luandry. The doctor says that her running around is what is causing the problems. Hmmm . . . you can’t stand up in that little red cage. It only goes to reinforce my old belief that “it’s nothing 3 weeks in a cage won’t fix”. There is a funny history to that saying in my house and it involves a goat, my ex slave donna, a goat and 3 weeks in a cage but that story has already been told. Thank you all for visiting this thread while we were in the hospital. everyhope is tucked in and resting with her foot up just like the doctor ordered.

I am glad it's nothing more serious, please take good care of her. And everhope, LISTEN, and stay off your feet for the next 3 weeks!

Awww, Everhope, poor dear. RS, perhaps you should consider having that bum leg off and replacing it with a peg leg. I think it wood ( snicker ) be way hot and, along with a parrot on her shoulder, afford her instant Floridian status.

Poor Everhope! Bed rest sucks! I suggest lots of books, a lap top, and perhaps finding a tv series on dvd to watch. You can also work on cross-stitch or maybe crochet something. Maybe you could read the ENTIRE Honorverse series. If you get one of the most recent hardbacks, it may come with a CD that has all of the other books on it! (I know we have one like that.) I hope that your ankle feels better soonest!
