Thanx for sharing the advice and well . . . maybe the knees were from Cali but the chapped lips happened here in FL.  The funniest thing is to see here say "I just don;t know why my lips get so dry here in Florida" . . . everhope darling, sweetheart, just think about what your lips have been doing here that they didn't do in Cali.  Ima make her a card says "have chapstick will travel."

found the chapstick, Sir! oh and vaseoline too.

everhope -> RE: -=Her scraped knees weren’t what you think. Logging in from ER waiting room=- (2/11/2009 12:01:10 PM)

i have been out of it since the night in the ER. yesterday was spent on the couch catching up on phone calls with my california friends and paperwork. i did not even make it over to this thread. i really do love you guys...your well wishes, healing thoughts, and humor is very much appreciated way more than i can express into words.
it is amazing how much one can get done while being grounded. the swelling in my left leg is amazingly reduced. one more day and i will be off and running again!...well maybe 3 more days...lol...actually, when Sir says i can.
thank you all very much for you!

Hi everhope!  I hope your mending quickly and will be up and about in another 2 weeks, and not before!

Just checking on you....

pure

Glad to hear you are home and recuperating. Please follow Rs' and the doctors orders and let your leg mend itself. Hugz to you and to RS. Be well my friends.

i am almost fully recovered as far as being able to walk. the doc was off by 2 weeks. as far as kneeling that will not happen in any kind of comfortable fashion for several more weeks. my left knee is what took all of the impact from the fall.
Sir bought me a bicycle and i have even been able to ride it short distances without problems. his plan is to ride bikes to the gym 2 miles away at least 4 days a week.(out of breath at the mere thought of it) he is giving my knee 2 more weeks to be well enough to actually workout.

ya know serving the ResidentSadistSir will be much easier with two totally working legs..i need them both to keep up with him!
again, thank you for your well wishes they have not gone unnoticed, it is just that life is moving almost as fast as the speed of light and i am doing my best to keep up.
hugs and soft kisses to you all.

I had to read that three times to figure out you meant the STATE, and not me.  [sm=ofcourse.gif]

By the way, my lips were chapped in Florida long before I... uhhh.... used them for certain activities.  It's just too damn DRY there.

Cali

Florida? dry? (is there a Florida I dont know about??)

I was soooooooooooooooooooo close to feel sorry for RS...(and for you too, of course...)

and even reading this:

quote:

Sir bought me a bicycle

made me feel "touched" to see so much of a caring side from a Master named RS...

but nevertheless, my apologies, that changed rapidly when I read

Everhope darling, give yourself all the time you need. Take that bike and secretly, during the night, drop it outside around the corner...the following day it might be gone...and tell him that you haven't got a clue where it is gone... (followed by suggesting that you could sit on the back of his bike so he can give you a lift and improve his fitness by that way [:)]).

I fully understand you as I just recently dismembled (I think thats the word) a bloody fitness bike which I dared to buy last year because of an idiot and dispite the metal frame all of it went successfully into the bin in the last weeks....I do know what you mean regarding "out of breath at the thought of it..."

Well, I wouldn't be able to keep up with him even with both of my legs in working order *bowmyhead*.

Best wishes hun...

KatyLied -> RE: -=Her scraped knees weren’t what you think. Logging in from ER waiting room=- (2/16/2009 9:38:26 AM)

Be sure to ask your doc when it's okay to get on the bike.  Also, 4 miles roundtrip is nothing on a bike, I think you'll be surprised.

i wondered about this also. personally, i have been pretty moist since arriving, but my lips dry and busy. chapstick works wonders in between times.

everhope -> RE: -=Her scraped knees weren’t what you think. Logging in from ER waiting room=- (2/16/2009 11:26:06 AM)

Katy,
thank you for the encouragement. so much is new in my life at this time including bicycle riding. i love the lilttle bit of time that i have been able to spend on the bike so far.

Well, I keep trying [;)] I fairly stay off fitness regime (except my usual fitness-drill of writing on my essays, where my finger tips do overtime *lol*) until summer where then this unfortunately is likely to change as well with my trip to either germany or new zealand...as to one of those countries I will certainly go for between 6 weeks to 4 months this summer [:D] But still lots of demands to get out of the way for Uni until end of May, and a work trip to gran canaria beginning of june, before I can truly enjoy to look forward to that [:)] lucky you, over in Florida [8D]

But as I said...take your time...and don't let yourself rush [;)]
