First, and most important, Everhope, get well! Time spent off that knee now will be repaid in spades with less pain and more mobility in the future. And remember, vicodin and pina coladas, separately, are fine. Not so much when you mix them!
Second, RS, you don't have to make up a story about the scraped and bruised knee, the sort throat, none of that. Having worked in a few ERs myself, a while ago, ER personnel are "hardened" to what we see, and you don't need to make an excuse. "Didn't look where you were sitting and sat right down on that cucumber, did you, now, Mr. Pink? Don't worry...happens all the time."

Dayumm! These are NOT the required uniform in the hospitals I work with. If you are going back to "work" in that outfit, holly, you might want to check the Nursing Act...that section about "professional contact with patients"? *GRIN* and please, apply HERE!
