I agree with Lady Merrisa. I think it's more a comment on the levels of communication that an M/s, or D/s couple can achieve during play. Tangents happen, and they are just as beautiful in their own way as what happens during play. They serve as another way to bind a Master and slave together, aside from the fact that it's just fun. The point isn't whether the conversation is about mathematics, Euclidean geometry, philosophy, or whether it's about cooking a meal, something funny that happened with the children, or some weird image that comes to mind. The point is rather that, in this case, a Master found something beautiful to appreciate and respect in His slave outside of her submission. Something that in that moment in time transcended play.
