I'm really not trying to generate paranoia here, it's the marketing of paranoia I oppose, i.e., dualist premillenial attempts to define "normality", I consider all human behavior "normal", some just works better for some than for others. Much of my paranoia is more like disgruntlement regarding the "militantly normal", i.e, those that wear their mediocrity on their sleeves: we all have our mediocre moments, can't be on all the time, but the whole "I'm normal" thing, i.e, the implication than I am therefore something less than, is a thing I find particularly annoying, as it asserts a normative that technically only exists as an abstract social construct. It is rather my desire to explore diverse paraphilia, in a sociable way, rather than get caught up in somebody else's bizarre shopping or football fetish - the orgiastic Dionysian frenzies of the Shoe Sale are a fascinating ritual to observe, but I hesitate to participate for fear of being torn limb from limb. Similarly, the drunken rioting of the sports enthusiast is a thing I also prefer to observe from a safe distance, as it no longer holds any mystery for me, even if it is mostly the memory of one, long, throbbing hangover.
