This was not a punishment, but He didn't stop me from curling up on the floor as He saw my need. i suppose my question here is, how does floor sleeping feel to you (apart from hard and back achey in the morning lol!) and do you see it as comfort/priviledge/punishment/humiliation?

Thank you for sharing your experience, gabrielle :)  Floor sleeping is something that  i deeply long for to express my devotion to Him, and feels very right for me. To sleep on the floor at the end of Master's bed, would be a lovely reminder of my place at His feet as His slave, and being close to Him at the same time. i would feel very loved and very special.

I would never punish myself by having beth sleep on the floor. It's too nice to wake up and touch her, use her, anytime I stir during the night, and feel inclined to do so. 

Now sometimes we both find ourselves waking up on the floor wrapped in a blanket, but that's another story or two.


We feel the same way, we would never want to sleep separately.
For the last month we have been sleeping on tatami floor mats and we both agree that we have never slept so well. I was really worried about getting aches and pains but I have to say that sleeping on floor mats seem to remove, rather than give, aches and pains. The Japanese got this one right! Next week we are going back to a big comfortable bed for a while before our next move and Im now worried that we will probably find overly soft and uncomfortable.

There was a time when I was younger that I often slept on the floor near Masters bed. Sometimes, I wore an ankle chain and others I did not. The symbolism of laying there on the floor left me feeling comforted and at ease. I felt at peace just as I do at his feet. However, many years have passed and many pounds have been gained and sleeping on the floor is no longer what is in the best interest of Masters slave. I have not slept on the floor near his bed in a very long time. I miss that peacefulness. Right now is a time of turmoil in my life and that may be just what this slave needs to find her center. Perhaps, I will request his permission to do just that tonight.

Thank you for reminding me of a time and a practice that is near and dear to my heart and soul.
