I don't like "Master" or "Sir", will *NOT* accept use of "Goddess," and prefer not to use "Ma'am" or "Mistress." The french "Maitrese" means the same thing, but sounds prettier, and doesn't feel like it has the same connotations. "M'lady" is really sweet, and romantic - that's what I've usually preferred, but I'm open to other options. I think "Sera" like in CJ Cherryh's novels about Cyteen might be hot, and I like the way it sounds! Domina and a few others are acceptable. My former boss, who as far as I know is completely vanilla, said she would rather be called "Sir" than "Ma'am," since it makes her feel old! slaveluci, I don't think that's it necessarily - a lot of people feel it has that connotation, even if they aren't dating anyone but the woman who is their Dominant. For me, it tends to feel a little more Ren-Fairish ("Mistress, wilt ye hither with me to yonder turkey leg purveyor?")
