Dominant women hating men??...submissive men beat to shit as kids..???
this is fukkin ridiculous..
1) the first things I ask a potential sub is  "any medical issues?"
and "were you abused as a child?"
if they were they will not be my sub..for the simple reason I am may be adding to an unhealthy REASON for their submission
AND NOT
A DESIRE to submit to me thru adoration or respect...or a bond

2)I LOVE MEN...I had to process for years before going FWD to make sure I come from a place of  love not hate..wow///

I URGE...men who have been abused to seek help..not BDsM and to see a red flag
if a DOMME does not ask about it

re: intelligence...it is my experiance that very submissive men are usually very intelligent but it has nothing to do with HARDSHIP

I laugh at the fact that me being a submissive has anything to do with my intelligence. I'm not smarter or deal with things better due to my submission, it's simply because I'm a better person them most people. Duh.

I think everything else has been covered enough so I don't have to say anything serious about this thread.

Right conclusion, wrong reasons...

Factually, higher IQ individuals have a higher predilection for BDSM than the general populations, therefore there are more high IQ BDSM practitioners.

The postulated reason is that high IQ causes people to be more apt for experimentation, get bored more easily, and have a more active fantasy life. All these reasons are at work in causing the effect you state... though I don't know if you can make the claim that this equates to a sliding scale whereas "extremely BDSM" practitioners are more likely to have higher IQs than "moderate BDSM practitioners."

There are psyche studies on this stuff out there if you go looking.

Is this question for me or is it fast reply?
I never said any such thing.

edited to add...In fact, I'd love to see someone offer some studies that support the claim of the OP.

Entirely bullshit.  People treated me like shit during childhood/adolescense because I was quiet and kept to myself (ie appeared submissive until I had them on the floor shortly after starting anything) and can safely say anyone who's gone through a similar experience, is not going to be into being beaten.

So, yeah. You're right in saying that hardship itself doesn't build character. But it does give people much more opportunity to shape their character, makes for a much more fertile ground for building that character. When it comes to making friends, give me people who've suffered, who've had to overcome some sort of significant obstacles to build a life for themselves. Those are the people I want close to me.

adversity and hard times dont make me any more wonderful to anyone else, but they sure make me a better person to me......much calmer than i was in my youth...

kinda like you survived x, y and z......this aint as bad as you wanna make it....and the people that know me see this calmness now.....as a redheaded taurus i used to be....well.....a bit of a hothead-lolol

so the difficulties made me a better mom, manager, human being in general.....i think anyhow

I am not sure if that makes an extremely submissive or anything for that matter intelligent. Intelligence to me is a person who lives their life not looking at the past as an ego ticket, but just lessons we learned. Intelligence to me is a person who doesnt need to draw attention to themselves. Intelligence to me is a person who doesnt even bother to wonder if they are intelligent or not, but more on what they have to offer to the Universe and how to offer it.

OP- Intelligence is actually a very stable trait across your lifetime. If you are ranked intellectually and found to be lower than average in grade 2, chances are you will be lower than average at 32. I do not believe that being abused, mistreated, having your hair cut repeatedly, ect. will affect your IQ. If i am wrong, by all means show me your sources.

Some abused men are submissive, some are dominant, some are vanilla and likewise for women. I liked the poster who told you to stop trying to justify your submissiveness.

first of all, i'm not certain if there's a correlation between childhood traumas and being an extreme masochist. perhaps, but i don't think anyone here can say for sure. (if someone has seen research suggesting otherwise, please correct me.)

but, beyond that, do childhood traumas build character and intelligence? again i haven't seen research on this, but just going on my own thoughts... i'd say that it probably builds a certain type of intelligence. reading the emotional cues of others would probably be one area, since an awareness of the moods of an abuser would be useful information in order to know how to act in a way that will not provoke them.

i know for myself that my own traumas and adversities inspired me to think long and hard about human nature, interpersonal dynamics, the reasons for people's kindness, cruelty, etc. so this is another way that might be the case.

on the flip side, a childhood in which you experience many traumas could make you so edgy and fearful that it would be hard to concentrate in school.

Now (a few years later), realize this question is flawed!  In the subject; the fifth word "males" and in the message, the forth word "males", both need to be replaced with the word "humans"!  I did not mean gender specific.
