The sad part is that there is a stigma at all. Why should anyone care about how someone else has sex, or who they choose to do it with? Why can't people just do what they enjoy and let others make their own choices without being judged. Why should there be any negative connotations to a man being gay or bisexual?

From everything I have read, it usually does not have anything to do with homosexual desires. The anus is actually the first part of our bodies we feel anything close to a sexual pleasure from during early development (do not want to go into detail because of TOS), not to mention the stimulation of the prostate. Not exactly sure why, but I have never been inclined to try or desire it. Each to their own I suppose.

The discussion has lasted a long time and has gotten lots of comments, so it was a thought provoking question.

In my own opinion, the ONLY label which can ever be accurate is one I apply to my own forehead.

I have no guarantee that anyone else will understand what that label may mean to me. If I know someone else is wearing a label, the only way I can understand what that label means to them and they can understand what I think it means is for us to sit down together and discuss these points in detail.

Language can be quite decieving without any intent to decieve by anyone in the communication. Throw in a few fears, inhibitions, ambitions and personal baggage, and everything can get very mixed up easily.

The old example (Aristotle maybe?) of twelve blind men each attempting to describe an elephant based upon the part he touched comes to mind. All could mean well, all could be completely honest, and all could have very different opinions.

In real life I have enjoyed MANY people who proudly wear certain sexual interest labels eagerly LOVING to enjoy things with me which one could ass u me the label would bar them from sharing with me!

Can anything really be so black and white any more? Sexuality is, or should be, about exploration. If it feels good...do it. It does not define a person. why should one be pigeonholed into one category or another.

A friend in the lifestyle once told me that all girls are a little bi. Of course she also says that men can't be bi..and she does not believe in being a switch either...but I digress.

I just find it amusing that being in this lifestyle, there is even a debate? Is it not hypocritical to be debating this issue when this lifestyle is all about pushing the limits of sexuality and experimentation? I on some level, believe that Most so called masters are bloated, bald, macho tools who could not get laid unless there were others out there with low self esteem willing to submit. But again I digress.

I do not want to get into what is or what is not gay or not, I can only tell you from my point of view and what has happen to me. After living many years in Key West (when it was a cheap place) I had never lived in a community like that. After the military moved out the island went through some changes and after a while the gay community seemed to gather there more and more. I had a lot of gay friends and was very comfortable around them it was just the disco music that got to me. Anyway lords knows how many times I have been hit on down there and I found that wearing a bathing trunks downtown was not cool. Men just never did it for me, was not my thing. But back to the subject at hand, I always was thinking if I enjoy anal sex that meant I was gay or at least bi sexual. Fast forward to about 10 years ago or so when I met my first Domme and had my first real scene with her. When we sat down before hand she told me a few things that just made me ever so nerviest and it was that dam butt plug. OK. Bad enough that somebody pulled up a two year old thread so he could make us all aware of who and how he likes to fuck (as if anybody cared). You want to add onto it the above, which on it's own is pretty much ridiculous.

Tell your friend that today you met a woman (I really don't prefer to be called a girl) that who isn't a little bit bi, so she can toss her theory out the window. You can also tell her that men absolutely can be bi if they desire both genders sexually. Switches certainly do exist, whether she believes in them or not.

Before you start deciding what the lifestyle means regarding other people's exploration and sexuality, maybe you'd better realize that it doesn't mean to everyone else what it means to you. Last time I checked, there hasn't been a vote and nobody has been elected to be the spokesperson for the kink community.
