I understood the question perfectly, in the sense that you posted it. But, because of my own experiece...I answered based on that.

You ask...he/she says yes or no...end of discussion because it matters not what you want, but what he/she wants.

Again...WANTS...there is a big difference between wants and needs. The only thing I WANT is to make him happy...by making HIM happy...my wants are being fulfilled...whether it be sexually, or otherwise. Now, granted, this is going in tune with the belief that no Master/dom would ever deliberatly ignore the needs of his sub/slave.

Craving attention though, that is not a need, it's a want. I am sorry, but that is just my belief. I do not need to have someone pay attention to me to know that he cares for me. I WANT to have attention paid to me, but it is not something that I NEED to survive.

Not exactly a equitable situation, but there is two of them and only one of me... gosh if they just took when they wanted.... I never get any sleep! I do have to look after my health you know *G*

But, seriously that is how it works in my relationships. Everyone is different, they find what works and they do it. So really the question should be something is asked to ones partner(s). Having an understanding of how that works is rather important i would think.

BTW, Not all Dom's can just have play when they want... that really is not a realistic generalization. I am want to play, but there are factors that will limit my want from occuring... such as the condition of my girl or bad timing of unwanted visitors like PARENTS! *G* But all in all, I am very fortunate to have what i desire/want more often than not, I am also aware that it is important my girls get there desires/wants met in these ways as well... so they ask! I am not a mind reader! Asking is not just for play, but if they are interested in experiencing something.. they ask... Of course that doesn't mean I say yes every time... In fact, sometimes I do say No... or maybe at another time etc etc.

Then I’ll ask him if we can play or if we can fuck. I’m certainly allowed to be horny, I mean its not like he could control that (maybe if he made me eat rotten fish or sit around and smell shit – basically do things that are so disgusting that sex becomes the last thing I think about). But basically I’m allowed to masturbate as much as I want to so that’s always a solution.

But if I don’t feel like masturbating and just want sex, I can ask him. I’m usually naked so I’ll go over to him and kneel in front of him, show him my brand, if I’m feeling really aggressive sometimes I’ll straddle him. Usually any of those things will clue him in pretty fast, and I have a very strong libido so he knows that in general I’m ready to go most times.

Just because I ask, or hell even if I straddle him that is no guarantee that I’ll get sex. If he’s not interested he’ll let me know, and him not being interested has nothing to do with me, it could be for a myriad of reasons. But I’m definitely allowed to make my feelings known and at times be demonstrative about it (kneeling at his feet, straddling him, etc).

Just depends on finding a style that works for you.

As far as happiness- we all choose to get into relationships that fulfill who we are. No one gets their immediate happy switch thrown every time they want it, sometimes no matter how much the slave tries and wants it (many a slave has brought themselves to a useless outburst because they somehow can't solve their masters problems).

As far as needs- it depends on the context. If you WANT me to be happy, high-functioning, energized and connected with the world, I NEED sexual stimulation.

If you don't want those things, then no I don't need it. It's just how I am wired.

Ok Irish... it's taken me a little time to think this over. And at least you like to debate so riddle me this... riddle me that..... (grinz)

I totally understand the need to please said owner. I'm not disputing this. But there's no way you can tell me that you .... yourself.. never have needs.. or wants.. that you wish to be fullfilled.... and I am talking other that submitting... i'm talking sexual needs.. wants.. luxuries... or how ever anyone wants to put this.

Or do you just say or do nothing at all to let said owner know that you also would like something?
