Did you watch the program on BBC2 the other day, it was wonderful the comparisons to him and preachers and yup the musical nature of his speeches. He is a likable man and he has charisma coming out of his eyeballs (actually as does his wife) Bush was brass in comparison, the way he looks and speaks was off putting. Call it shallow but it makes a HUGE difference (See Churchill)

hmmmm Obama said he would get combat troops out of Europe...he failed at that.

Well, the only people at the world summit who didn't fall over themselves to shake his hand, were the Queen and associates. Bush was an object of ridicule. You can absolutely guarantee that Obama is capable of building alliances that will further his objectives.

I'm still waiting, obama said he would get COMBAT TROOPS out of Europe.

SO how long will this Europe love for Obamas take for him to ACCOMPLISH something with his newly built Alliances???
A year from now?? Will he get combat troops?
How do we determine success or failure from obama? Some would say that just having Europe falling over themselves to meet Obama is all that needed. I believe in something tangeable of substance. Someone could be loved and also be taken advantaged of because they get nothing of what the desired while the other side gets everything they want. ;)

It tends to take longer to pull troops out of a country that you have turned to shit than it is to pump troops in to create the shit
